17 FAY This time, I'd been prepared for the pain, but instead of feeling like I was being torn apart, I only experienced an irritating itch all over my body. When my feet hit solid ground, I swayed, but managed to stay upright. Holding Vruhag's hand helped with balance; not that I would have admitted that to his face. He groaned, his face a paler shade of green. He looked like he was about to throw up. I was rather happy that I'd weathered the portal better than him. Not that it was a competition. But still, it was nice to beat this huge, muscly orc at something. A bird's call made me look up. The trees were just as tall here, seeming to reach all the way to the clouds, hiding the sun from view. There was movement in the canopy. Hopefully just birds and critters, not something wanting
