While I rode I remembered what my Father and I used to do when we were traveling which included hunting and also learning how to track animals. Without noticing it I caught up with Thorin who was in his own thoughts. "Hey, Thorin." said which kinda ripped Thorin out of his thoughts. "Nessa didn't saw you riding next to me," he replied. "Yeah sorry, I saw you were in your own thoughts so I didn't want to disturb you," I said. "I had something on my mind but nothing to worry about," Thorin said. I nodded while riding next to him in silence for a while. "What did you want to tell me?" he asked when I remembered that I wanted to go hunting for some fresh meat. "Oh Yeah, I was just wondering if I could go hunting," I asked. "Why not we could use some fresh meat," Dwalin said behind us. "Right Bombur?" he added looking way behind him where Bombur was riding. "Fresh meat would be nice." Bombur replied. "Great, ill be off. Thorin could you take Brego, ill be quicker without him." I said. "Yeah," Thorin replied, with a swing I was on the ground next to my mighty steed. "Go with Thorin, ill be back soon," I told him and patted his beautiful fur. "Were keep going Nessy will catch up to us," Thorin called taking Bregos reins I passed him. At first, I was confused. Did Thorin just call me Nessy? I asked my self while I sneaked through the forest looking for deer tracks or some other eatable animal. Finally, I saw a beautiful deer walking through the forest looking for something to eat. Slowly I pulled an arrow from my quiver placing it on to my bow. I heard the confident sound of the arrow released from my bow and the usual thud noise when the arrow hit the target. with a big smile, I walked to the dead deer kneeling next to it. "I'm sorry for killing you," I said in elvish before skinning the animal and cutting the meat into pieces. After I was done my hands where full of blood and dirt. Thanks to my backpack I was able to carry all the meat back to the company. I ran back to the street and thanks to the hoofprints I caught up to the group. Brego was super happy that I was back before I returned to my Horse I gave the backpack to Bombur who gave a big smile. Thorin smiled just a little bit when he saw me running up to him and Brego who was still leading the company. "Hey, bud," I said cooing, stocking his beautiful black fur. "I see you were successful," Thorin said and I nodded. "I was, thank you for taking care of Brego," I replied and took the reins from him. Thorin waited for me at the front and the rest of the day we rode next to each other in silence. In the late afternoon, rain poured down soaking us to the bone. But it passed us and the sun came out. "We'll camp here for the night. Fili, Kili, look after the ponies. Make sure you stay with them." Thorin ordered as we stopped next to a farmhouse. I dismounted Brego, untied my bag before I passed the reins to Kili who smirked at me, he had something on my mind, I really wanted to know what was going on. I watched Gandalf who was in the abandoned farmhouse looking around until he turned to Thorin. "I think it would be wiser to move on. We could make for the hidden valley." Gandalf told him which made me listen to the conversation. I knew what Gandalf meant and I hoped that Thorin would agree but I wasn't ready with the Dwarfish stubbornness. "But I've told you already. I will not go to that place." Thorin replied which made me grumble. "Come on Thorin." I threw into the conversation. "Why not? The Elves could help us, we could get food, rest, advice." Gandalf replied ignoring me. "I do not need their advice," Thorin answered the wizard. "We have a map that we cannot read. Lord Elrond could help us." Gandalf replied. "Help? A dragon attacks Erebor. What help came from the Elves? Orcs plunder Moria, desecrate our sacred halls, the Elves looked on and did nothing! You ask me to seek out the very people who betrayed my grandfather, who betrayed my father." Thorin replied this made me angry. "It wasnt Elrond or any of the Riverdell Elves, I know the story." I argued when I met Thorins eyes and they where stern. "Do not argue with me Nessa I am leading this company and if I say we will not go there," he replied. I snorted and walked off away from the group growling about the dwarfish stubbornness. A while later I came back seeing that Bombur had cooked and all the dwarfs were surrounding Bombur to get their food. I waited patiently until it was my turn. "Here you go, lass." Bombur said when he passed me the bowl and some bread. "Thank you Bombur," I replied and walked towards my blanket and bag I had placed near Bilbos who was off taking some food to Fili and Kili who were watching the Ponys.
