Chapter Forty6th June 2006, Turin, Tuesday Angelo Cannavaro was warm, and just a little drunk as he made his way home after a satisfying evening's entertainment. The performance at the theatre had left him in a happy mood. The comedy had been just the thing to lift his spirits after a hard week at the office. Following the play, a few drinks in the bar had given Angelo a warm glow inside, and he'd forsaken the use of a taxi to walk the kilometre and a half to his home on the Via del 'Orzo. The bit where the leading lady had tripped over the feet of the doorman and gone headlong across the stage, collapsing into the arms of her mother-in-law, had been particularly amusing and Angelo laughed softly to himself as he replayed the scene in his head.
