Chapter 27I continually dialed Ulan's number, but it rang endlessly. What had he meant by Renee was with him and he'd been kidnapped? Had she been lying to me the entire time? Were she and Rhett coordinating together to trick me?
I could only assume Renee had been an intentional distraction while Rhett went after Ulan. But why? What did he know? If he'd been hiding something from me all along, it must've been huge.
