Hope’s Pov:-
Wolf? Balck wolf? I never in my entire life saw wolves, that to a black wolf even though I’ve read many werewolves books. I never understood the concept of werewolves and vampires though, they were mythical creatures which don't exist, that’s what I think. I never encountered a wolf in my life, I never thought I would see one like that here.
Calm down, Hope… it’s just a wolf, calm down, I murmured while taking a deep breath and closing my eyes. I glanced at the place it was before and closed the window, I moved back to my study table and sat down on the chair. I tried to concentrate on my work. It was becoming hard by passing time, for some odd reason its eyes were flashing in front of my eyes. I don’t even know if it is a male one or a female, I guess by the size of it, it’s a male wolf.
“Jesus, what’s wrong with me,” I muttered while pushing my hair and biting my lower lip in frustration.
“Hope, Dinner is ready, come down,” I heard my mom’s yell and I groaned in frustration. I wasted my time and now I can’t complete my assignment.
“Coming mom,” I yelled back while closing my books and standing up from my chair. I walked downstairs and sat down in my chair. My mom served me food and we began having it.
“How’s your assignment going?” My mom asked while having her food, I glanced at her and sighed, “Not well,” I replied.
“What is it about, I can help!” my mom offered but I shook my head, “No mom, thank you but I will do it myself,” I smiled at her, she nodded her head at me and went back to her food.
After having dinner, I came back to my room, set my bag for tomorrow and brushed my teeth before going back to my bed. I pulled the blanket over my body and a sigh escaped my lips when my eyes moved to the window, I closed my eyes. I tossed and turned but I couldn’t sleep at all, I sat up in frustration while looking at the window.
“What hell is wrong with you, Hope, it’s just a wolf, what’s the big deal,” I spoke while pushing my hair off my face.
***thud***
I flinched at the sudden sound while my breathing quickened, I slowly got up from the bed and walked towards the window. With my shaking hands, I opened the window and gasped when I saw the same wolf staring at me, standing on the same spot earlier. My heart was beating rapidly against my ribcage, I swallowed hard while I stared at the wolf. It wasn’t doing anything just staring at me with its beautiful eyes. All of a sudden there was this feeling, which was making me want to touch him and run my fingers through it’s black and silky fur.
There was some kind of pull, and automatically my legs moved towards the door. I opened the door and snicked out of my house quietly. I walked to the backyard, into the woods. The cool breeze pushed my hair off my face and made my body shiver, the full moonlight was making my way a bit clear and a bit too easy to view the way.
My heart was beating rapidly and I was breathing hard as I walked through the thick woods. I don’t know why I was out of the house and who was I searching for? But my questions didn’t stop my legs. I walked and walked deeper into the woods, and suddenly I heard a very loud howl coming from the right side of where I was walking.
I stopped in my tracks and looked at the direction it came, I was breathing rapidly and my heart was humming at such a speed that I could hear it from my chest. I gulped hard and tried to control my anxiety, “Wh-who’s there?” I said with shaky breath while looking at the direction I heard the howl but I couldn’t see anyone there.
Suddenly the black wolf I saw earlier at my home, jumped on me making me fall flat on the ground. I looked up at the wolf which was now on top of me while growling down at me showing off his big white teeth.
I was shaking badly in fear of getting killed by it, tears filling my eyes out of fear. All of a sudden black dots began appearing in front of eyes, making my vision blurry and eyelids heavy. Before I lost my consciousness I saw through my blurry vision, the wolf stepping away from me and shifting into a human form, into a man with familiar eyes.

I could hear distant and faint voices around me, a familiar musky fragrance filled my nose and it was making my body relax a bit. I opened my eyes with great difficulty and blinked trying to adjust to the light in the room.
My eyes landed on a familiar person sitting next to me with his hand holding mine, with a blank expression on his face. I gasped and pulled my hand out of his grip and moved back from him, “Dakota?” I said in surprise and all the things that happened earlier flashed in front of my eyes.
I looked at him with evident fear, “Where am I?” I asked looking around,
“In our house,” My eyes moved to the person who answered and saw Blade with his hands folded over his chest, to his right side was a woman looking at me with a sweet smile, she had similar brown hair of Blade and same ocean blue eyes.
To her right was a man similar to Dakota, he had a similar lean body and black hair and looked like the older version of him but their only difference was his eye colour. Dakota’s were emerald eyes and he was baby brown.
“How are you feeling?” Dakota asked with a blank expression on his face, I looked at him, there was no worry or any kind of emotion in his eyes for me and for some reason it hurt me.
“Fine,” I replied flatly but my voice held fear and confusion.
“You should rest, you look tired dear,” said the woman with concern in her voice, she glanced at the person standing next to her before walking out of the room. Blade and the man followed her, leaving me alone with Dakota.
All of a sudden a wave of emotions hit me, fear, confusion and sadness. I didn’t know what to say or do, It was him, the black wolf was Dakota. Oh god! The myths were true, Werewolves exist and one of them was sitting right in front of me.
“You need to calm down, Hope, I won’t hurt you,” he said with a hint of irritation in his voice. I looked at him confused, “I know you have a lot of questions running in your mind, I will answer them soon, but now you need to sleep,” he said and got up from the bed.
He walked towards the door and opened it before getting out of the room. He glanced at me, “Good night,” he said and walked out leaving me utterly confused.
