Fleeing an abusive marriage because her divorce was not granted, Amaryllis took her two sons to the first flight available, arriving in England she had a long friend who lived in this country, with her broken English she tried to meet up with her, but instead she met a man by the name of Robert Smith, with her friends help she learned of a new way to live with the help of Robert, and as she finally found freedom from her now ex husband she faced a new challenge of having herself fall in love with Robert who had claimed to confess to her that he wasn’t a human, but a vampire fated to her.
