Arnim and Revi

Arnim halted the column. He and Revi had ridden north with one hundred Kurathian horsemen, the plan being to locate Ironcliff. It lay somewhere past a region known as 'the Gap', but so far, they had seen nothing that might indicate the location of such a place.
He looked over at Revi Bloom, but the Royal Life Mage's eyes were closed as he reached out to his familiar, Shellbreaker. It was odd to watch, for the mage kept moving his head around as if searching the countryside, occasionally peering downward and focusing on some distant object.
"Well?" said Arnim, his patience wearing thin.
"There's a town close by," replied Revi.
"How close?"
"Half a morning's ride, maybe a little more. It might be worth investigating."
