Three Weeks Later
Dan stared across the pier at the boat where Anna was waving at him.
He offered her a smile and returned the gesture before resuming his journey across the deck. The Anemone was a motor yacht he and Anna bought almost a week ago. She was a trawler-style vessel, seventy-five feet with a twenty-foot beam and a top speed of twelve knots. The Anemone came complete with spacious living areas and cost Anna and Dan every cent they possessed. In less than a day, it would be ready to sail from its dock at Point Pleasant Borough where it had spent the last week.
