Chapter Six The white stick fell to the linoleum floor with a clatter. Ruhi was surprised it didn't shatter into a million pieces because that's how she felt. Her life, her plans, her future, were now all scattered in pieces by something so small as a little white stick. There were no lines to count on the stick. No pink or blue colors.
