chapter 39

Jennifer pov

I was just coming out of my room when i felt Callahans rage, what in the world. Why is he so angry early in the morning, this is not a good sign, i hurried toward his office, i was stunned when i saw his hand around Tatters neck, i watched as he slammed him against the wall, i could smell the anger in the room, i had to hurry over to him planting my hand over his back. i had learned over the years that this was the only thing that would calm him down. his father used to do this when he was younger,

“Callahan put that boy down right now and call Susy in here, give him a chance to explain, Callahan do what i tell you to do son, come back to me,” i knew he was angry right now, he’s been having so much stress lately. i knew he was nervous about Taylor coming, and then what if she doesn’t come. When he finally let him go, Tatter fell right to the floor, coughing to try and catch his breath. in the end, Susy rejected him, and he had to accept it. They haven't even been together for too long, two years, i think. i was just thankful she didn't get pregnant. now it's time for her to mourn her mate. i hope the goddess will give her a second chance, mate. she’s been through enough. I made sure that Callahan was okay, then i told him what needed to be done.

“You know the rules Callahan, you know what needs to be done. The rule about cheating on your mate is unforgivable. the sentence is death, and do what needs to be done.” He nodded. I knew he understood because he would never let someone cheat on their mate rather than get away with it, He called a few other guards to do the deed. then hung up the phone. Susy will be told tomorrow. the bond was broken once he cheated. the string was cut when they rejected each other, so she would not feel his death,

“I'll tell her in the morning, go and do what you need to do, son. We have a few more days left, so you need to get right with your head. i know you're nervous seeing Taylor again. but you need to understand that you do not need to scare her. We are all nervous here. even the pack is nervous seeing her.”

“I know my mother. I'm just not so sure she will come, and if she does, she will be willing to talk to me. And if she is willing to talk to me. will she reject me or take me as her mate? There is so much to think about. i think i'm about to just go crazy and find her myself to talk to her.”

“Don't you dare, if you go after her, she will run. let her be until she shows up. I am still the queen young man, at least until she comes and agrees to be your mate,

Libby pov

It's just a few days now. I want her now. But Lou keeps telling me to calm down, I will get her in time, Lou is my bed buddy, he keeps telling me we are mates. But I just want to have fun until I get what I need and want. He keeps telling me I need to wait until that day. I hate it when he is right, I get it. We need to be careful. i told him that once the mating royal ball starts, i want to go alone. and then he can come find me, that's when i will grab her and take her into the sss where the cage is set right in the middle of the sss jungle, no one would be able to hear her. i will give her plenty of silver so she will not be able to link anyone ill mix it with wolfsbane and a little dark powder, that will keep her from linking anyone for a few hours, that will give me enough time to get into her place change into her dress maybe i'll just tell them i went home to change, i know my sister, she will wear a pants suit. She never liked wearing dresses. I will have to change that. I was on royal grounds. walking among the people i had a cloak over my head so no one would see me, i was wondering how easy it would be to get into the castle, it wasn’t so easy so i thought, the guard stopped me right when i stepped foot on the first step. When he asked what business i had with the king, i stopped turned and then walked away,

“Im sorry, i will get my mother to come next time. he knows her well” that's what i yelled out, before i vanished around the corner, i had to run quickly before they caught up to me, I threw the cloak away so i could run faster through the woods, once home Lou was waiting for me.

“Did you figure out how to get into the castle? the way you're breathing, I doubt you did.”

I knew I had to lie because he wouldn’t let me do this. He is a kind man who wants nothing but the best for me, I hate lying to him. but he's not my mate. I will not choose him. I deserve the best, and I will get the best. if he just had a better home instead of this cabin if he had better things than he had. maybe i would have stayed. maybe i wouldn't put the blame on him, may i wouldnt tell them that he made me do it, i didnt want to. but he made me do it, he said if i didn’t do it he would he would beat me than kill me, i had it all planed, i sat on the couch beside him taking the glass of wine from his hand that he was offering to me,

“I found a way inside. I just have to be more careful. I have everything planned for that night. Just make sure you're there to help drag her to the middle of the sss. it's not going to be easy, you know.

“Yes i know Libby, don’t worry, i have you covered, honey,”

“Good, I need to go take a shower to get that stench off of me.”

“Lou pov

I watched as she walked away from me to head to the shower, a part of me wanted to join her so I could slam her up against the wall and have my way with her, i knew she was going to set me up. She's going to tell everyone that I was the one that made her trap her sister. What she doesn't know is that I'm not poor, I want a mate that will want me for me, not for what I have. I have a mansion of my own, I have a whole pack to myself. They all know about her. they also know that I will not bring her there until she is worthy. Once she gets what she wants, she will not need me. Once she leaves this house, I will leave a few minutes after her and do what I must do. she will not get away with setting me up for the fall. i have my ways i have many ways to get around that and she will regret it, first thing is first, i have to make sure i carry the girl away from her, second make sure she is safe third, make sure she gets back to her family and confront her sister, she wont be locked up she will be waiting to walk right back inside that castle and kick her sisters ass.
