McGregor Coven

Luka pov He couldn’t believe what he was about to do, it had never been done in the history of the Volkov coven. His ancestors must be rolling in their graves. Luka’s back however was up against the wall. That son of a b***h completely butchered his daughters mind and it was beyond his abilities to repair it. The fact is mind manipulation was not his strong suit, but there was some one at the McGregor coven in Ballyshannon who had perfected it. Hell the McGregor clan wrote the damn spells on all mind manipulation from simple glamours to what his daughter was dealing with. It took everything in him to control his magic so as not to hurt the females in the room. To say he was furious was an understatement. Luka kept Nat asleep otherwise her mind would continue to deteriorate. When she would see people or places her memories would flash in front her eyes involuntarily causing damage to the temporal lobe. The brain can only sustain so much damage before it breaks. The brain is a mystery even to most witches, working in ways that are beyond our magic. In times like this it is maddening. The McGregor coven seems to know more about the brain than other covens, including his own. “What do you mean you can’t fix it?” Lili asked furiously pulling Luka out of his thoughts. “You are Luka Volkov!” Luka wanted to smile, he really did like his daughters best friend as most wouldn’t have recognized the signs of something being wrong with his daughter before it was too late. It didn’t matter if she was a wolf and they were witches, this young slip of a girl cared for his daughter and that made her family. Lili also called him on his s**t, no one had the balls to do that, not even Svetlana. “She’s right Luka, how can you not fix this?” Svetlana asked fearing for their daughter. Luka sighed, “I wish I could as well, the only thing we can do is reach out to the wizard who can and he is located in Ireland.” Svetlana gasped, “No!” Luka nodded, “I’m afraid so.” Luka looked to Liliana, “We are going to need your help with this little wolf.” Lili nodded, “Of course, but what is the big deal.” Lili was a wonderful Luna, but still u familiar with witch society, hell no one knows our secrets. These wolf’s are privy to more than most. “It the same as the werewolf world my dear. The strong prey on the weak and the strong hate and fear each other. The two most powerful covens in the world are the Volkov’s and the McGregor’s.” Understanding flashed in her eyes, “I think I understand now why that application to switch covens has the affect it did.” Luka laughed at her comment, “Yes, you should also know they accepted her right away as well.” Luka was beyond surprised when he received an email from the McGregor coven stating that Natasha would be accepted into their academy to further her training. The email attached her application it was dated only a week prior. Luka wasn’t surprised, “What do I do?” Lili asked. Alexei pov Standing outside the perimeter of the Midnight Howlers pack Alexei reigned in his magic as he knew he lost this round. He could feel both Luka’s and Svetlana’s magic signatures in the house. It would be next to impossible to get Nat out of there. Lex had to go back to his lift and regroup, maybe blow off some steam with Anastasia. The war wasn’t over he just had to come up with a new battle strategy to win the war. He would win this war, he promised himself. Cavan pov In his office Cavan was checking his email when a new one came up from a werewolf pack in the United States. The request would normally be thrown out immediately, in all honesty Cavan had no idea how this e-mail managed to get through his filters. The coven gets hundreds requests for assistance every day. However, this pack had Irish origins and is known to honor their ancestors so Cavan a nearly thousand year old witch was intrigued by the request. He clicked on the email and read with growing interest. To Whom it may concern I am begging for the McGregor Clan’s assistance on a very dire matter. A very dear friend of Luna Liliana was put under mind manipulation several weeks ago. To make matters worse the spell was never maintained and this individual’s brain has been destroyed beyond repair. The witch we consulted informed us that the only way she could be saved is by reaching out and pleading our case to the McGregor Coven. Please I beg you to help our friend. Her life and sanity rests in your hands The Midnight Howlers Pack Normally Cavan wouldn’t respond to such frivolous requests, but there was something about this one that had his magic buzzing within him. He was also intrigued to know who the other witch that was consulted on this case. Cavan quickly responded that he would arrive the next morning before he changed his mind. Sadly being the leader of the coven mainly meant sitting in front of a desk most of the day. Cavan missed teaching students like he had done for hundreds of years. The coven also didn’t respond to distress calls often and so the reality is that Cavan didn’t practice his magic that often. When his dad handed over the reigns of the coven his role changed. Then his father was killed in the werewolf wars fighting for the last werewolf king hundreds of years ago. Cavan stayed away from any supernatural creatures and their problems since then. Cavan had been a few hundred years old at that time, but his mother had lost her wick and she had never been the same. His mother lived for her children, but he could see the spark in her eyes was never there again. In some ways he was glad he had never found his wick, so he wouldn’t know the pain of loosing her. Cavan was the oldest of his siblings and had seen all eight of them get their wick. It was only a month ago when he felt the awaking of his wick bond. That had meant his wick had reached the age of maturity at twenty-five and honestly Cavan didn’t know how to feel. This is something unique and only known to his clan as his family was both blessed and cursed. Ireland was the most magical place in the world as it was said to be the thinnest veil to other realms. It’s why their coven was so strong. The magic however came at a price, all magic did only those like him who had walked the earth as long as he had knew the truth. Cavan teleported to the location given at the time he said he would and was greeted by several people. “It’s an honor to meet you, I’m Alpha Killian of the Midnight Howlers Pack and this is my wife Liliana.” The alpha held out his hand to shake, but he ignored it and Cavan looked shrewdly at his surroundings. “You asked me to come?” Cavan asked. There was immediately something wrong about this place. He felt so much power coming from somewhere in this packhouse. In fact from several people of power in the packhouse, and one was from the Alpha. Cavan had never felt an aura this strong before. He looked at the Alpha intensely and this youth didn’t back down. “What is going on here? Did you lie to me?” Cavan started to back up but was stopped by Liliana’s hand on his arm. This woman was touched by the moon Goddess. Cavan couldn’t believe it! “Please sir wait!” She cried out, “the one thing we didn’t tell you was that the girl who was spelled is a witch!” Liliana cried out and he stopped moving listening to her story. “She had a really hard life and when she met her wick, she didn’t want him. So her wick decided to erase her memories of him and now her mind is a mess, please help her!” This tiny wolf begged him and he couldn’t help but be moved at the story, “Is this witch your friend?” Cavan asked intrigued as he had never heard of a wolf becoming friends with a witch. The Luna nodded, “She’s my best friend, please help her.” Cavan looked into her heart and could see she was pure of heart and then looked to the alpha next to her. The alpha’s heart was mostly pure but slightly tainted, Cavan was surprised it was pure as it was being an alpha. Cavan nodded, “Take me to her.” Cavan arrived by elevator and knew immediately that his wick was in this packhouse. That is what the strange feeling of power was. He couldn’t believe he was mated to a wolf! Cavan concealed his shock as the Luna started talking. “We kept her on our floor and she’s asleep.” The Luna continued talking and Cavan ignored her. He could tell there were only two people in this floor other than the three of them, one of them had to be his wick. When they entered the room Cavan was taken aback to see the most beautiful red headed woman asleep and a boy next to her. “Callum!” The Luna said “what are you doing here?” “I had to make sure Aunt Nat was watched over!” The little boy said fiercely and Callum couldn’t help but smile. “It’s all right lad, I’ll take over from here,” Cavan stated. The young boy looked between the girl named Nat and him and was quite indecisive. The alpha came over and whispered something into his ear, Cavan went over to his wick and sat down next to her completely mesmerized. “Do you think you can help her sir?” The Luna asked and he smiled. “I’ll do anything for my wick,” he stated in a reverent whispered. “Wick? That’s not possible!” The Luna said and Cavan looked up and saw she looked horrified. Cavan couldn’t question her as Luka f*****g Volkov teleported into the room. “My daughter is not your wick!” He bellowed as his magic buzzed around his fingers. Cavan couldn’t believe it, his wick was the bastard daughter Natasha Volkov.
