Nat fell into the kiss and returned it with equal passion. They devoured each other falling victim to the wick bond. The kiss went on and Natasha never felt anything so glorious. When Alex grabbed her breast she got a flash of memory. Lex with his minions holding her down while carving into her arm. No it wasn’t possible! Lex couldn’t be the one who did this to her. That was one of the most traumatic memories of her life. He was her wick! Out of reflex, she grabbed her pounding head and released her magic, blasting him across the room. Natasha was beyond shocked, she had never displayed that amount of magic before. She didn’t think she was capable of something like that. Her father didn’t know she had that in her. Right?
Lex groaned, drawing her attention to his crumpled heap on the ground.
“Natasha! What the hell?” Oh no, he sounded mad at her. Nat knew he would be furious at her so she quickly teleported away before he could impose new rules on her, or worse hit her.
Nat teleported to the only place she could think to be safe, the Midnight Howlers pack. She teleported to where Nat felt Liliana’s energy and she found her holding a young boy. Lili looked shocked to see her, but she quickly masked that and smiled at her. They stood there for a minute before Nat decided to transition to something less awkward.
“Oh! Look how big Callum has gotten!” Nat said and rushed to see the little man. Nat didn’t get to see him too often, but she had printed out pictures Lili always sent her. Lili gave her a confused look, but didn’t say anything. Natasha looked at the little boy in Lili’s arms and was confused as to why he looked different than the pictures Lili sent.
“Hey, Aunt Nat!” A voice said drawing her attention. Natasha looked in confusion to see a boy around ten years old.
“Lili who is that?” Just as the boy was about to answer Lili responded,
“No one, can you take your brother please? I need to talk to your aunt alone.” The little boy took the toddler with ease and walked silently out of the room.
“Nat what’s going on? Are you okay?” Lili asked with concern in her voice.
“Aren’t you happy to see me?” Nat asked trying to stall the inevitable conversation.
“Of course I am, I’m just worried about you. You seemed confused.” Lili said in her Luna voice and Nat was soothed a little it didn’t work on her fully as she wasn’t a wolf. She was concerned that her friend was using her Luna abilities on her.
“Hey, where’s Penelope? I want to have a girls' night.” She rambled still stalling, Lili gave her a weird look.
“She went back with her mate, she also has to finish her residency, you know that.”
“When did Penelope find her mate?” She asked again confused. Nat struggled to remember if Lili had ever talked about him and her head started to pound once again.
“Hey let’s forget it and have a supernatural marathon like old times,” Lili said with a big smile on her face. Nat smiled with relief at the comfort of happier times and asked,
“From the beginning?”
“As the way it should be.” Lili responded with a smile on her face and they walked to the living room. Nat looked around and didn’t recognize any of the furniture. Where were they? She didn’t say anything she just sat down and watched as Lili turned on the TV and found the old DVD set from a hundred years ago. Or in high school, Nat giggled a little.
“What’s so funny?” Lili asked as she sat on the couch next to her.
“Nothing.” The screen came on to see smoking hot John Winchester. Damn, what she wouldn't give if things were different.
Liliana pov
When Natasha teleported into the packhouse Lili was so excited to see her. Then things got weird and Lili was at a loss for what to do. She knew that Nat’s parents thought she was missing and Lili was reluctant to get a hold of them at first. Lili debated it as they watched the first episode and Nat seemed to relax. She just felt like something else was going on here and she didn’t have a choice. Natasha didn't seem to recognize her son, but then talked about girls night. It was as if her memories were wonky.
.
Me: Svetlana you really need to come to the packhouse.
Fitz: I’m sorry that with Nat being taken we are too busy, if this is about your baby I can send another witch.
Me: Svetlana. You and Luka need to come to the packhouse right now!
Fitz: Lili…
Me: I mean it, teleport to my office in ten minutes.
Luka: You have half an hour little wolf
Lili texted Svetlana while keeping an eye on Natasha who was currently rubbing her head absently with one hand. Lili knew that move personally and one does that when you have a throbbing headache behind your eyes. That was weird, to her knowledge Nat didn’t have headaches.
When it was close to the ten-minute mark Lili decided to head out.
“Hey Nat I need some junk food like old times, you still eat the same stuff?” Lili asked and Nat looked at her with a blank face. “Peanut butter and Oreos?” Nat smiled and nodded her head,
“Sounds good.” Lili got up and walked out of the room,
“I’ll be right back!” Lili walked at a slow pace until she was out of earshot of the living room. Then she ran as fast as she could to her office which was two floors below the alpha floors. She was glad she had sent a mindlink to her mates to stay away from the packhouse for a couple of hours. She got to her office and saw that Luka and Svetlana were already in her office. Luka did not look happy.
“Look little wolf with Nat gone we don’t-“
“Nat is upstairs,” Lili cut Luka off before he continued lecturing her.
“What?” They screamed and started heading for the stairs, but Lili blocked them both.
“No wait!” Lili tried to contain them, but she knew they were like a storm cloud.
“Lili I have always appreciated you for being my daughter's friend-“
“Luka please stop! There is something wrong with her!” Nat’s parents both froze in their tracks.
“Lili what do you mean?” Svetlana asked with worry and fear in her voice.
“I was holding Hudson and suddenly Nat appeared looking terrified. She has never teleported without texting me first. I don’t mind, but she knows with the kids it can be scary.” Lili shrugged her shoulders, “Nat wasn’t only scared she seemed disoriented and confused. Then it got worse, she thought Hudson was Callum, and when Callum walked in the room she didn’t recognize him.” Lili explained with worry leaking from her.
“She didn’t know Callum?” Svetlana asked. Lili nodded,
“That’s not all, I calmed her down and she’s watching TV. I left under the guise of getting snacks, I asked her if she wanted her usual and she couldn’t remember what her go-to junk food was.” Luka and Svetlana both looked extremely worried,
“Luka?”
“He must not have kept up on the memory spell. The bastard didn’t know he needed to maintain it!” Luka raged and Lili was confused,
“Look I need to get back before she gets worried.” They both nodded,
“Yes just keep her calm. I’ll teleport in and put her to sleep.” Luka told her and Lili nodded,
“Okay sounds like a plan, the kids are with their fathers now. They know something is going on.” Luka and Svetlana looked worried, but Liliana was too worried about Nat at the moment.
Lili quickly ran up the stairs and grabbed whatever she could find for junk food. Her heart was pounding and Nat must have sensed her.
“Lili is that you?” Nat called out.
“Ya, it’s me!” She yelled back while grabbing some chips and candy.
“What’s taking so long?” Nat asked and Lili hurried back to the living room with her giant bundle of junk food.
“Sorry, I had to go pee before getting the food. Ohh I love this episode!” Lili said as she saw it was the wendigo episode.
“Me too! Dean is so fine!" Nat commented and Lili rolled her eyes,
“Oh please, Sam is my dream man.” Lili forgot for a moment that Nat’s parents were waiting until Nat was distracted to put her to sleep. Suddenly there was a shift in the atmosphere, if Lili wasn’t around witches then she wouldn’t have noticed it. Nat looked at her like she had been betrayed and Luka put Nat to sleep with a simple flick of his wrists. Nat fell flat on the couch like she was dead and Lili gave Luka a death glare,
“You couldn’t give me any warning!” Luka paid her no warning and went to his daughter with concern in his eyes with Svetlana quickly behind him. Luka gently placed his hands on either side of her head and Lili could see sparks on his fingertips. Natasha started to moan a little in her sleep and Lili started to get concerned.
“Is she in pain?” Lili asked Svetlana.
“Unfortunately yes. Memory spells can be painful even with someone as powerful as Luka doing them.” Svetlana looked like she was in pain along with her daughter.
“Can’t you heal her?” Lili asked Svetlana and she shook her head sadly.
“No I can’t, not while he is manipulating her memories.” It seemed like an eternity before Luka removed his hands and Svetlana asked him,
“What’s wrong?” Luka sighed,
“This is really bad.” Lili saw one tear fall down his eye, “I’m not sure I can fix the damage that was done to her by the spell.” Svetlana and Lili both gasped, hearing the most powerful warlock admit he couldn't correct something did not bode well.
