"Cherise!" The man continued to scream. "Come out, come out wherever you are..." he sang. "You dirty little w***e. Where are you hiding? I need you to walk up to me. I need to see your face!" Chloe managed to see everyone checking around as though they knew the person he was calling out to. The deranged man, who had a naturally lazy face, smiled rather mischievously as he took little steps towards his right. "Cherise? Where are you, Cherise? If you don't want me to blow you and me up, come out now!" "Okay!" a shaky voice replied from a corner. It was the lady from earlier with the thick red lipstick. Slowly, she made it out, gaining a look of distaste from the man who had called her out. "Collins..." she said with a bit of tremble. "Why? Why are you doing this to me? Look at you, you are dressed like a complete w***e. My freaking wife is out here dressed like this. Dressed like f*****g filth." His anger-filled eyes roamed her short, glittering gown. With arms up in surrender, she said as she moved closer, "Collins, please calm down. This is not what this looks like." "Do you think I am a fool?" He bellowed. Chloe stirred at his loud voice. "You do this every day. You say you are going out with your friends, yet here you are sharing your body with other men." "Collins..." "If you are going to continue treating me this way, you might as well die, and I am going to make sure it happens." As she saw the evil in his eyes and the anger in his body, Chloe wondered how one could be so filled with toxic thoughts. If her guess was right about the woman cheating on him, he could have made life easier for himself by breaking up with her. Why did he allow things to fester to the point of him threatening to kill, not only her, but also other innocent people? "Collins, you don't mean that." "Oh, trust me, I do." "At least let everyone else go. Let us settle this at home. Please..." She moved closer to him and reached her arms out to hug him. As he gave in to her hug, her elbow quickly slapped the little object in his hand into an unknown distance. Afterwards, she kicked him in the shin. And, as soon as his howl filled the room, the quiet crowd scattered, and everyone ran out to anywhere they deemed safe, making the place very rowdy. As Chloe wondered what to do about the man who planned to molest her, she heard a scuffle from behind. Her target was gearing up to flee. The thought of her efforts so far ending in vain didn’t sit right with Chloe, so she weaselled towards him and grabbed his left leg. "What the..." He turned, his lips gasping in shock. "You are not supposed to be awake." She tightened her grip. "Well, I am." "Whatever. Just… Just let go of my leg." "I can't." "Let go." He budged again, his face now starting to wear some kind of despair. "I am sorry, I can't." With hidden tears in his voice, he pleaded, "If you are sorry, let go." Chloe wondered what he was so scared of. The distant sound of the police siren gave her a suitable reply. "I am sorry, I can't let go." "Oh, man!" He budged even harder, his shoe hitting Chloe's chin with a huge force. She fell back as the pain resonated through her entire system, but when she saw he was already having a chance to run away, she hastily crawled towards him, grabbed his leg again, and bit deep into his skin, causing him to cry out. "That's for kicking me,” she raged. “You b***h!" He came crashing onto the ground, his eyes full of pain. Seeing an advantage to keep him down, she crawled to his back and from there she locked his neck with her arm, startling him even more. "What are you doing ?" "I don't know," she said with a strain as she tightened her grip. He groaned. "I think I am making soup on your head." "Why are you doing this?" "If you just sit down and cooperate, you will find out soon," she snarled at him. "You will regret this." She pulled hard at his hair, he cried out and she said with a low voice, "Sit pretty.” And to the man behind the scenes, she screamed, “Sebastian, where the hell are you?" "Sorry, the cops outside are making it difficult to gain access. I think there is really a bomb in there, and they don't want anyone in. But don't worry, I’m working on getting you out now." It sounded like he was running. Chloe sighed. This s**t wasn't supposed to get that complicated. As she turned her head towards the room, she noticed people were still inside. There were not many, but they were being wary of Collins, who now had Cherise with a knife to her throat, threatening everyone not to come close. Without a doubt, it was drama day at Club NAG. "Let me go, you b***h. You are suffocating me.” Chloe didn't have the intention of killing her target. She wasn’t asked to. So she loosened her grip. But he took it as an opportunity, within a small second, he grabbed her hand and had her on the ground. And without wasting time, he ran. But the thoroughly trained Chloe was fast enough to grab his leg, dragging him down. "Why are you always after my leg?" he cried like someone stole his lollipop. She got up, and locked him with a straddle, pinning his arms above him. "Where else do you want me to grab you?" she asked. "Your d**k?" He managed to smile. And, she sneered. And her hold was not strong enough. He had more strength than his appearance gave off. Before she knew it, he was the one straddling her, his weight crushing her. With a smile of victory, he leaned and said, "I would rather you suck my dick." "You..." she made to punch him in the chest, but he was quick to get hold of her hands. "I am going to enjoy dealing with you." "Oh, you wish." "Give up, sweetheart. This won't hurt." With her breathing getting rough, she watched him as he reached for something in his pocket. "This won't hurt at all." The syringe in his hand already looked deadly. And as she watched him prepare the needle for insertion, she could only wish for some more strength or some help. "Sebastian, where are you?" she muttered as the target cleaned her arm. Soon, she felt the sharp end of the needle and she shivered. As she shut her eyes to reach for some extra strength to fight him off, the man fell with a thud next to her. Startled yet grateful, with her chest rising and falling dramatically, she opened her eyes to see who her knight in not-so-shining armour was. "Nathaniel?" Her voice came out without hiding her surprise.
