Liora Pov 5 years later .... In the morning, I called my best friend. Her name is Aluna. A beautiful woman who works as a doctor. Aluna was a bride of the witch clan of the Arkanis Order. She escaped and changed her identity, just like I did. My name was Liora Aldemire and I changed it to Leona Whitaker. I did this so that Logan would not know of my existence. My son Draven is sleeping after playing all day. He's going to school tomorrow. I need more money to pay for his tuition. "A mysterious man needs a personal doctor, he's so cruel. I think this is a way to get money for Draven's school fees," Aluna said on the phone. "Leona, do you want to?" "Yes, I want to. Let me do it. I need money for Draven's school fees. If he can pay me more as his personal doctor, I'll do it," I replied quickly. "Okay, I'll text you the address, Leona." A few moments later a message appeared on my phone. "I will take care of Draven while you work with him. This man is very mysterious. He's very special, and I hope you get along with him," Aluna said. I breathed a sigh of relief. An extra job would bring in more money. "Mommy, can we go out today? There's so much snow, I love it," Draven replied. He stood in front of me and looked at some of the snow that had fallen. I smiled at Draven. "Oh, my son, you can't leave the apartment today. Mommy has some extra work to do. Auntie Aluna will come and keep you company," I replied. I saw that Draven's face looked sad. I couldn't leave him, but I also needed money for his school fees. "Okay Mommy," Draven replied. "Good boy," I said as I pinched his cute cheeks. I prepared to go to the place Aluna had given me. The man lying there was called Mr. Martin Leon. According to his identity, he was a businessman. I didn't find out more because Mr. Martin seemed to be a very private person. Aluna came and took care of Draven while I went to my car to drive to Mr. Martin's address. "I just wanted to let you know that if he's a cruel person, I hope you can handle it," Aluna said, looking at me a little worried. "No problem. If he can pay me more, I'll be able to handle it," I said. I drove the car slowly down the snowy road, following the directions Aluna had given me. The mansion was on the outskirts of town, far from the crowds. The scenery outside was so quiet, only the sound of the wind occasionally hitting the glass of my car. "What kind of person is he?" I thought, trying to calm my slightly restless heartbeat. According to Aluna, he was a mysterious and cruel man. After some time, I finally arrived at a high, black gate. It was decorated with intricate carvings. I reached out to press the intercom bell attached to the side of the gate. "Who is it?" A man's voice came over the intercom, his tone cold. "My name is Leona. I am the doctor sent to treat Mr. Martin Leon," I replied in a calm voice. The large gates slowly opened, revealing a long walkway that led to the magnificent mansion. Tall trees lined the road, their branches covered with snow. I drove the car forward, approaching the mansion, which looked like an old castle. After parking the car, I got out and zipped up my coat. The air was much colder here. I walked up to the large, dark main door with intricate carvings. Before I could knock, the door opened to reveal an older man dressed as a butler. "Welcome, Miss Leona. Mr. Martin is waiting," he said in a flat but polite voice. I nodded and thanked him briefly before pushing open the door and stepping inside. Inside the room, a man in a wheelchair sat by a large window. The dim light from the hanging lamp cast sharp shadows across his face. Martin Leon was a cold looking man with a set jaw, dark eyes full of alertness, and an undeniable aura that dominated the room. "You're the doctor sent for?" he asked, his voice deep but sharp as a knife. "Yes, Mr. Leon. My name is Leona," I replied, standing up straight even though his sharp eyes made me feel like I was being judged. He nodded slowly, his eyes tracing my face intently. "Well, let's see how well you do your job. I don't need sympathy or pleasantries. I just want results." I nodded again, trying to remain calm. "Of course, Mr. Leon. I'm here to help." He turned his eyes back to the window, as if my presence didn't matter anymore. "We will begin now." "Mr. Leon, please allow me to check on your condition," I said politely, although my nerves were beginning to creep up. He gave a small nod without looking at me, his eyes still staring out the window. I opened the medical bag and took out the stethoscope and gloves. "Don't touch me directly," he said in a cold tone. "Use the shell. I don't want to feel anyone's touch!" I swallowed, trying to calm myself. "Yes, Mr. Leon." I put on the extra pad that was in the medical bag. It felt strange, as if there was more than just a medical reason for his request. As I approached him again, I noticed something strange on the underside of his slightly uncovered sleeve. Wounds are like bite marks... many of them. My eyes widened and my heart quickened. They were not like ordinary animal bites. They were deep and regular, as if something savage had attacked them. "Mr. Leon..." I started, trying to find the right words. "These marks... did you just experience something? These wounds look serious." He turned his head quickly, his dark gaze meeting mine. "This is none of your business," he said, his voice sharp and warning. "All you have to do is make sure I don't die. Don't ask questions, don't try to understand. Do your job." I nodded quickly, feeling myself shaking slightly under the gaze of his eyes. "Sure. I just want to make sure you don't get an infection." He let out a long breath, then smoothed the clothes that covered his wounds. "There is no infection. These wounds are already healing, faster than you think." His words confused me even more. Wounds like that couldn't have healed so quickly without good care. I continued the examination without saying much more, taking her blood pressure, checking her heart rate, and making sure she wasn't in critical condition. When I finished, she spoke again, her tone calmer but still cold. "You will come every day. Don't be late. Don't bring anyone else. And don't ask any more questions than you need to know." I nodded, trying not to overreact. "Yes, Mr. Leon." I gathered my medical equipment. I picked up the liquid bottle that had fallen beside him. His fingers touched me quickly. I was surprised. The moment their fingers touched my hand, something strange happened. A flash of heat and cold radiated simultaneously from the point of our touch. My heart was beating fast, not only because of my surprise, but also because there was something I couldn't explain. "Impossible," he murmured, barely audible but enough to get my attention. "Impossible what?" I asked cautiously. She turned her face away from me, back to staring out the window. But I could see his muscles tense. The man's eyeballs were red and bright. He stared at me for a long time. "My mate!" "Oh no, I don't want any more!" ***
