Martin Pov
"Alpha Martin, you have lived too long in the human world. It's time to stop having fun and focus on finding a Luna. I'm just afraid that your health is getting worse and the enemies are catching up with us."
"Your strength is getting weaker, and we don't have time, Alpha."
My Beta, Jack, continued to worry about my health. For the last two days I couldn't control myself at all. Jack said it was because I didn't have Luna. When an Alpha lives alone, it is difficult for him to control himself.
Having Luna is one of the solutions.
"Alpha Martin, don't you want to look for Luna? The Black Moon pack is having fun. The virgins of the Black Moon Pack clan are coming. I hope you can find Luna there," Jack said.
"You're too loud Jack, I'm not interested in finding Luna that way!" I said.
Lion, my wolf, continued to howl. That meant my body was very weak, and he was injured.
"Go away Jack, I need to be alone!" I snapped.
Sure enough, Jack finally left. Every day he told me to look for Luna. I'm not interested in finding Luna. For me, having a partner is very annoying. We have to protect her from all enemies.
"Ah!"
"It hurts!" I whimpered.
I got up from my seat and walked over to the bed. The strange girl gave me some painkillers, but so far the medicine was completely useless.
"Ah!"
"It hurts, it hurts!"
I laid my body down and tried to ignore the lion's roar that was getting out of control inside me. My body felt weaker and weaker, every muscle aching and sore. Jack was right, I knew it. But I didn't want to admit it.
Having a Luna was a solution, but I had lived alone for too long. In the years that had passed, not a single woman had caught my eye, not one capable of igniting the bond that was supposed to make me strong.
Lion, on the other hand, kept urging me on.
"We can't go on like this. Our strength is dwindling, and our enemies know our weakness. A Luna is the only way."
Two days ago, the vampire king, Morgan, ordered his guards to attack my territory. I would not allow anyone to enter my territory. I killed 10 vampires who had killed two little girls, our neighbors.
Unfortunately, I thought they were dead. One of them bit my leg and arm.
I was drying my body on the bed. I looked up and remembered the one girl who had plagued my mind.
"Doctor Leona, who is she?" I thought.
"What exactly happened to me?" I muttered as I clutched the cloth to my chest. The feeling was disturbing. It was as if there was a part of me I couldn't control.
The lion, the wolf in me, roared again. My body felt hot, which made me even more uncomfortable. I need some fresh air.
With heavy steps, I grabbed the jacket in the corner of the room and walked out of the house. The night was cold, the air piercing my skin, but I'd rather be outside than inside, trapped by thoughts I didn't understand.
As I stepped onto the deserted cobblestone streets, I saw a shadow at the corner of an alley near an old iron barrel. The foul stench immediately assaulted my sense of smell - a stench that only creatures of the night possess. Vampires.
I slowed my pace and focused on my listening. The vampire was hiding behind a barrel, his fiery red eyes occasionally peering at an old car parked nearby. Inside the car, I saw a woman sleeping in the driver's seat. Her hair was down and she looked exhausted.
"Gosh, what is she doing here?" I muttered. My instincts told me to leave and ignore all this, but Lion growled. I knew he wanted to hunt this vampire.
D*mn it, I don't have time to deal with such lowly creatures, but this woman couldn't possibly survive if this vampire attacked her. With quick movements, I hid in the shadows and watched the situation.
The vampire began to move, his eyes fixed on the woman in the car. I grabbed a large rock near my feet and threw it hard at the scrap barrel. The loud clang startled the vampire, and it turned to me.
"How dare you enter my territory," I hissed coldly.
He grinned and showed his dirty fangs. "Alpha Martin, I'm just looking for food tonight. You don't need to interfere."
I snorted. "Food? This is my territory and I won't let you touch it!"
I didn't answer. With full force I leapt at him, my claws and fangs ready to crush him. His body rebounded as I slammed into him, shattering the scrap barrel behind him.
"I don't care who you are," I growled in wolf form. "You will die tonight."
The vampire moved quickly, trying to escape, but I didn't give him a chance. The lion dominated, attacking relentlessly, tearing into the creature's cold skin. Black blood rushed to the rocky ground, but it wasn't enough to soothe my anger.
In the midst of the battle, I smelled another, softer scent - a scent that couldn't be wrong. My eyes glanced toward the car, and that's when I saw it.
Leona. Doctor Leona.
The woman was still asleep, unaware of the danger lurking so close. The second vampire suddenly emerged from the shadows and moved quickly towards her car. Cleverly, he opened the car door.
"Leona!" my voice roared inwardly.
The woman woke up, her eyes widening at the sight of the vampire standing beside her.
"Please, help me!"
Without thinking, I left the first vampire, who was about to die, and jumped towards the car. My claws hit the second vampire hard, knocking him to the ground. I didn't give him a chance to fight back. In an instant, I ripped out his throat and turned his body into black ash.
Leona was still silent in the car, her body shaking. The woman was terrified.
"Calm down, why are you here?" I shouted.
Her eyes were glued to my figure as she watched the huge wolf with pitch black fur standing in front of her, vampire blood dripping from my fangs.
Before I could compose myself or change back into human form, I saw her. His eyes widened, his lips parted slightly as if to say something, but then his body collapsed.
"Who are you? Don't kill me, don't kill me!"
"Leona!" I shouted. The woman's body hung limp. "Ah, d*mn, why did she faint like that?"
