Riley looked at me over the top of the car. Her smile was easy as she stood there. There was a slight chill in the air and she had goosebumps on her arms but she didn’t move to get her hoodie out of the bag.
“I wanted to play more 20 Questions but I wanted to take you somewhere to play.” She c****d her head to the side as she raised one of those perfect eyebrows.
“Take me where?” She questioned. I looked above her, to the top of the mountain where I knew there was a mountain ledge hidden by the tops of the trees from this angle. I looked back down at her and smiled.
“Somewhere I think you’ll like. It’s just out of the city but still within pack territory.” She watched me and nodded.
