CHAPTER SIXTEEN When she arrived on the third floor, it just so happened that Ellington and Penbrook were walking by the elevators, headed somewhere further down the hallway. When Ellington saw her, he gave Penbrook his apologies and turned back toward her. By the time he had done this, she was already headed for the conference room at the end of the hall. He hurried to catch up to her. When he was by her side and keeping stride with her, he chuckled. “You’re moving fast. I take it you have something?” “Maybe.
