CHAPTER TWENTY ONE This is ridiculous, Mackenzie thought as she and Ellington walked back into the Wakeman Home for the Blind. There was an air of tension between them now and it reminded her of the high school drama of careless teenage romances. Sure, her heart hurt at the thought of the way she had spoken to him in the car on the way here but at the same time, she also realized that it was foolish.
