Chapter 2 “Mommy! Look at what we found!" Ricky, Reina, Riley and Riona rushed into their mother's room excitedly. In their hands they were carrying individuals pets they had tamed at the schools familiar day. Ciora left the documents she was reading and turned her attention to her quadruplets. “What do we have here? Familiars. Did your school teacher let you take them?" She asked, ruffing their heads gently. “Yes!" They echoed in unison. Belinda, Ciora's best friend strode in exhausted from picking up the kids from school. She slumped on the couch, her chest moving up and down as if she had ran a hundred miles. "You need to put a leash on your kids, Ciora. They are too energetic." she rolled her eyes dramatically. Ciora chuckled patting her kids one after the other. Ricky the oldest, had a baby dragon familiar, Reina a cub tiger, Riley a baby serpent and Riona a baby phoniex all tamed by them. Ciora made sure to send them to the best werewolf academy in the kingdom. At the age of seven, they were able to dispel a lot of spells and fighting techniques. "Mommy, let's go freshen up and do our homework. We will leave you to your work," Ricky said, taking his siblings along with him. Once they were out of her office and nowhere close to the corridor, Belinda sat up and passed a tablet to Ciora. “How long are you going to keep hiding them from Nero? He has become more restless than before." Ciora played the video Belinda had given to her. Everyday she kept her eyes on her babies making sure no one found out about them. Especially Alpha Nero who has been on a hunt for her, for the past seven years. She couldn't understand what he wanted and why he was desperately searching for her when he had casted her out of his pack six years ago without anything to fend for herself. “Tighten the kids security. Mask their scent I don't want that man getting any close to my kids or I will kill him." She gritted, her eyes blazing with hatred for the man in the video. Belinda sighed knowing there was no changing her best friend's mind. After all, the dumb alpha deserved her silent treatment. She kept the tablet aside and went down to real business. “That's by the way. The kids seventh birthday is coming up. You know it has to be a grand party since they have been able to unlock their familiars at such an early age," Belinda reminded her. Ciora nodded in affirmation as it was a rare sight for a seven year old werewolf pup to gain the ability to unlock their familiars. Over the years, Ciora had cultivated her skills to become a formidable healer. From the scratch she built her empire despite many rejections and condemnation. As a female werewolf, being a skilled healer was discriminated against. Only those who came from the descendants of healers were allowed to practice. Yet, she didn't give up. She toiled day and night, practicing and improving her skills until she had produced an exlir that cured a terminal illness no healer could handle. Little by little, she expanded her healing skills. She owned many hospitals in the kingdom and was the largest medicine distributor worldwide. Humans and werewolves collaborated with her and respected her talents. With the help of her best friend, Belinda she was able to get through her dark past and become the most reverend healer in the world. Belinda satisfied with her response to the grand birthday, she brought out another project that had been lying on her desk for the past two years. “This company has been sending emails for a partnership. According to the email, their pack has been pledged with a deadly disease," Belinda explained to her as she passed the document to Ciora. Ciora read the content on the document and frowned at the number of causalities that had been lost from the disease. “How come I never knew about this?" Ciora asked with concern in voice. "It's from Graceland pack," Belinda revealed. The concern on Ciora's face dropped then replaced with disapproval. Belinda sighed and kept the document on the table next to her. “It's been six years, Ciora. You need to face your past for you to be able to move on," Belinda argued. “They condemned me, banished me from being their Luna. There is no reason for me to use my skills to treat them," Ciora pointed out, clear and firm. “Fine, they abused and condemned you. I understand but how long are you going to keep enduring that pain?" Belinda raised her voice, her eyes brimming with tears. “When I see you suffering from that heart curse that keeps tearing you apart. I feel so devastated to find a solution to heal you. What kind of healer goes around healing others when you are on the brink of death?" "I won't die," Ciora mumbled quietly. "No, you won't! You will keep enduring that stupid pain until your primordial soul gets crushed and you won't have the ability to reincarnate again. You know what? I am tired of you being stubborn!" Belinda slammed her hand on the table, cracking the edge with her strength. “There has to be another way. I…I don't want to see him till the day I die." “Do it for you kids, Ciora. If you don't want to do it for yourself, do it for the quads," Belinda said. She knew the quadruplets were Ciora's weakness and she would do anything to protect them. Outside the office, the quads stood by the side of the wall eavesdropping on their conversation. They had masked their presence with an invisibility spell they had learned in school to prevent them from noticing. Upset by the revelation done by their godmother, the quads quietly snuck back to their room. "Is mommy going to die?" Riona the softness amongst them snuggled with a teary voice. “No, she is just ill. Don't cry, Riona," Ricky patted her head gently, saddened as well. "Doesn't this mean we need to find Daddy and tell him mommy is sick? What if something bad happens to Mommy?" Reina worried, held her other brother Riley. “Nothing is going to happen to mommy. We can make sure if it," Riley added, he was the smartest in all of them. Reina and Ricky possessed Alpha strength just like their father while Riley and Riona possessed the brain and healing ability of their mother. Together, they were the unstoppable quads. “I was able to find out who our father is and where we can find him. He is the Alpha of Graceland pack. I managed to steal his contact information from the staff room while our teacher was distracted. It happens to be that Daddy also has a daughter going to our school. Her name is Lilith," Riley said as he brought out the contact form from his pocket. "Ugh, the school's pick me girl?" Reina rolled her eyes. "Hope she is not part of our quad." "No, she is not. From what I discovered her Mom is mom's half-sister. It says here that daddy and her are married," Riley pointed out. Reina fumed, she hated the idea of Lilith having her daddy as hers. "Daddy must have been so dumb. What do we have to do to save mommy?" Riona asked. “We call him." Riley brought out his phone and dialed the number on the contact list. On the first ring, the call was answered and a deep voice spoke through the speaker. "Hello." As they were about to respond, Ciora's voice echoed in the hallway. “Kids, are you done with your homework?"
