Chapter 4
Ciora briskly walked into the school compound. Teachers who saw her rushed to welcome her.
"Dr. Co, we were not expecting you today. Is there something you would want us to do for you?" One of the head teachers asked, blocking her path.
“I thought parents aren't allowed to enter the school's compound? Why is a man inside my children's school?" She raised her voice, furious that she had seen Alpha Nero in the security record.
"Please, calm down. Alphas and Lunas are privileged to drop their kids inside. Sometimes, they observe the school's infrastructure for their kids' safety," the head teacher explained.
Ciora flamed up more from their ridiculous rules. "Step aside or I will burn down this school and leave you all jobless for the rest of your lives!" She threatened.
They parted to the side, afraid of her words. After all, she was a major sponsor of the the school. Ciora matched into the school building, her mind focused on finding her children.
She was terrified that Alpha Nero would see them and recognize them since they shared his genes.
On the other side of the school building, Alpha Nero was having a meeting with the school's principal.
"My daughter complained about bullies. Since when did this school tolerate such nonsense?" He queried.
The school principal trembled unable to explain the allegation. If there were bullies in the school, no one would dare to punish any child in order not to offend any parent as most kids were related to influencial and powerful alphas, beta, business men, healers and other clans.
The principal's secretary stepped forward seeing her boss's frozen state.
"Please, sir can you identify these bullies. I am sure the school would be able to punish them severely," she said, thinking it would be one of the scholarship students who came from low backgrounds.
However, when Lilith mentioned the Quads, the meeting room stilled. The room felt hot even though it was properly ventilated and the windows were wide open. But the Alpha's burning gaze made the teachers in the room sweat.
“The…the Quads? Please, lady Lilith are you sure about this?" The secretary asked.
"Are you suggesting my daughter is a liar!" Alpha Nero thundered, his Alpha voice subduing them in place.
“Absolutely not." The secretary swallowed, bowing down on her knees. Her arms shook from the terror before them. Alpha Nero was one of the most intimidating Alphas in the kingdom. No one dared to offend him not even his fellow Alphas.
"Then call the Quads and punish them severely as you have said," he ordered.
The secretary obediently rushed out of the meeting room. In seconds, she brought the quadruplets in. Alpha Nero's eyes widened in surprise then dimmed with confusion on seeing the quadruplets resembled him.
“Whose kids are these?" He rose to his feet and stalked over to them.
"Alpha, they are the healer's children," the secretary answered with her head lowered on to the ground.
He could perceive his sent on them. Their aura matched his and their notorious blue eyes were only found in his family.
How was this possible? He wondered as he observed them. He didn't have any other woman aside Henrietta. So why did these pups resemble him?
He reached out to touch them but Ricky stepped forward and swatted his hand away, protecting his siblings.
"Don't touch them you bad man!"
"Bad man? Who are you calling a bad man?" Lilith ranted from behind. She came in front of her daddy, her arms on her waist with a displeased frown on her forehead.
“My Daddy is the Alpha of Graceland pack. The strongest of them all. Who are you to call him a bad man? Do you even have a father to boast about?" She bragged.
"Who wants a daddy when he is too blind to see. We rather have a powerful mommy than a worthless daddy," they vented out in unison.
Their pure Alpha aura surged out shocking Alpha Nero even more. He pulled Lilith aside and knelt before the quadruplets.
"Kids, who do you say is your mommy?" He pried, curious now that he had confirmed they were his.
“Why do you care?" Riley frowned at him.
“Kids, don't speak to the Alpha in such manner," the principal scolded but earned a glare from Alpha Nero instead.
"Silence!" He roared and the room went still.
He touched his chest and spoke calmly to the quads, “Who is your mommy?"
"Why don't you answer that yourself! We are out of here," Riley said, grabbing his sisters and together they left the room.
Lilith stood on the sideline confused by her father's sudden gentleness. She watched as he followed the quadruplets to leave the room.
Afraid that she would lose her father's love, she ran after him and grabbed his hand.
"Daddy, please don't leave me. I will be good, please." She opened her mouth and began to cry.
Alpha Nero stopped and looked down at her. He stared at her, searching for a resemblance of him in her. But couldn't see the slightest sign of his genes. When he raised his head again, the kids had disappeared from the corridor.
He had no other choice but to calm his daughter down.
Ciora trudged down the hallway way worried that something might have happened to her babies. When she turned into another corner, teachers following her behind she fell on her knees and sprayed her arms out.
“Mommy?" The Quad called at the same time. They ran into her arms. She hugged them tightly as if she had lost them. Heart pounding her began to calm down on seeing her pups were alright.
Relaxed that her pups weren't taken, she turned to the school teachers and said, “I want my kids moved to another section of the block away from Alpha Nero and his daughter effective immediately. Am I understood?"
"Yes, madam." The head teacher affairmed.
Ciora made sure Alpha Nero would never cross paths with her pups. Little did she know they had met and he was already suspecting they were his kids.
Once she was done with changing their classes, Ciora came out of the school compound and entered her car. A distance away from the school gate unaware of the lingering gaze on her, Alpha Nero's hands gripped the steering wheel hard until his knuckles were white. His mood darkened instantly.
The woman he had been looking for, for the past seven years was right under his nose and he did not notice.
