Kyoko turned away from the absolution of that statement and looked down at the staff… Tasuki’s staff. She could still see an amethyst glow around it and could still feel its silent hum of energy synchronizing with the power Tasuki had sent into her. Reaching her hand through the bars, she called for it to come to her, knowing somehow that it would obey the command.
The staff lay there for a moment before it moved. It jerked then flew into Kyoko’s hand. She shivered when the power from the object shot through her body like a shock wave. It hit her palm and she pulled it through the bars as if they weren’t even there. The secret dagger hidden in the end of the staff extended and her eyes glowed with power.
