Chapter 20
{Zader POV} It was January 2, two days after the New Year’s celebration and Enslee’s introduction as the future Luna of Black Mountain. I woke up with her sleeping peacefully on my chest and breathing softly. This was the second night in a row that she let me hold her in my arms and sleep next to her. She hadn’t had any nightmares either night. I looked at the clock. 5:59 am. I reached over and turned the alarm off that was set for 6:00 am so it didn’t wake Enslee up. I slowly slid out from under her and left her sprawled out on the bed. I walked over to the bathroom and shut the doors behind me.
