Bella looks to me for guidance. I pull her body tighter to mine trying to calm myself.
“We need to explain to Annabella what a challenge is before she accepts it,” Jake says authoritatively and I silently thank him for thinking faster than I can right now.
“Fine, whatever.” Amanda rolls her eyes but we all ignore her.
“Eli?” my mate questions.
“Okay Bella, basically when someone challenges another, they go onto that platform and fight,” I start, pointing to the raised circular platform a few feet from us.
“And they fight to submission only, not death like some of the other packs do,” Nick adds. Bella nods.
“Whoever wins, leaves with the position being challenged for, no questions asked.” I finish.
