Chapter 49 The Movie

904 Words

The private screening room was dark. Lillian pushed Claude toward the sofa and watched as he used his arms to lift himself onto it. Claude then patted the seat next to him, gesturing for her to sit down. They didn't speak much. Claude pressed a button on the remote control, and the movie started playing directly. Lillian was a little nervous. She sat close to Claude, unsure of what genre the film would be. Romance? Action? Or... an R-rated action romance? Her palms were sweating, and her mind couldn't help but replay the kiss in the tunnel. As she watched the opening credits, Lillian felt something wasn't quite right, but the movie started soon after, leaving her no time to ponder. Soon, she realized she should have pondered a bit longer because the movie turned out to be a horror film.
