Chapter Thirty-Four

My heart, my soul, my everything still nestled in my arms, I blinked us to my condo, setting her down in the living room. She clung to me a moment longer, an embrace I understood.
“Wow. Swanky.” She finally stepped away and turned her mouth down appreciatively.
“Thank you. This is one of my favorite places.” I glanced around at the industrial decorations and furniture. Moonlight shone through the two-story window creating a pale shadow on the hardwood as she moved. An obvious visual that I wasn't hallucinating, and she was truly here. I breathed a little easier. “Now even more so.”
She strolled a few feet away, turned a small circle to scan the room and ended facing me with a smirk. “So. Do you entertain lots of previously dead, now immortal goddesses?”
