2. The Accidental Magician

The Story of how King Arcandor took over Culum Kingdom and how he is planning to conquer Prodal Kingdom so he can rule Stronas has been the trending topic in Prodal Kingdom. The King of Prodal Kingdom, King Randy has been holding a gathering of his people on daily basis to assure them that there is nothing for them to be afraid of that he would protect the Prodal Kingdom and its citizens with his life.

A long time ago before the attack on Culum Kingdom, a boy was found in the lake of truth by King Randy's only daughter Princess Isabelle and he was taken care of like a Prince in the palace. The boy revealed how he had lost his way in the woods while hunting with his father before he mistakenly slipped into the Stream of truth. The Stream of Truth is not a waterway where anyone can just enter and come out safely. In the history of the Steam of Truth, no one has ever entered and come out safely. The Stream purifies itself from all dirt, evil, and impurities that's why it burns completely anyone or anything that enters it, especially if the stuff brings impurities to it.

The boy grew up with the Royal family of Prodal Kingdom until he was of legal age before he departed due to some misunderstanding. The King and Queen of Prodal Kingdom named the boy Arman because he strangely came to them and possess a strange power which can only be God's sent. Arman had a strange power that was known to be magical since he arrived at Prodal Kingdom but the truth about his power was he gifted by the Stream Of Truth as a gift for his pure heart.

Due to his inability to control the power, he was banished from the palace and King Randy ordered his guards to take out from the Kingdom in order not to suffer any casualties as they did in the palace during their attempt to teach him to control his powers and keep it from anyone else outside the palace. While the guards were trying to stick to the order of King Randy and banish Arman from Prodal Kingdom, Arman used his powers to escape while they were in Loncaster town one of the most dangerous towns in Prodal Kingdom where bandits and retired warriors oppress and steal from helpless citizens.

"I have to find somewhere to hide before they start looking for me," said Arman while running from Prodal Kingdom soldiers through some farmlands.

Suddenly, he hit his leg on a thick root of a tree on the ground he didn't pay attention to while running and fell and hit his head on a stone which caused him to pass out.

A young lady named Aerora who lives in Loncaster town was passing through the farmland in search of herbs for medicine. Aerora is a healer, she got this skill from her father who was formally the healer of Prodal Kingdom injured soldiers before he was untimely murdered by some retired soldiers on his farmland. Aerora was shocked to see a young good looking guy in a pool of his blood on the ground close to her father's farmland, she immediately ran to his rescue and checked if he was still breathing, it was a relief for her to know that the young man was still breathing.

After quickly using some herbs to stop the bleeding in his head and foot, she managed to get him on her back and closely drag him to her house for further treatments. It was somehow easy for her to get him on her back because she was few inches taller than him.

After sparingly searching, the Prodal Kingdom soldiers who were to banish him from the Kingdom retreated and went back to the Palace and told the King that they had done according to what he asked them to do to avoid any punishment from the King.

However, It took Aerora over thirty minutes to walk from her father's farmland to her house which was just a few meters from each other. Immediately she got home, she put Arman on the reeds and rushes they use a bed and cleaned his wounds, and also dressed them.

Few hours after Aerora finished dressing Arman's wounds, her brother Melan came into the house. Melan is a magician who loves to and wants to be a soldier, unlike his sister and father who are both healers without magic. His mom was a very powerful magician from Xotus kingdom. Both Melan's parents are from Xotus kingdom, the land of magical goblins but his father was just blessed with a healing hand and no magic. They both relocated to Prodal Kingdom while they were in demand of a healer for their soldiers. Their mom died while she was trying to give birth to Aerora.

"Nobleglow, who is this man? I have told you to never bring anyone here for treatment, You are the only one I have and I will die if anything happens to you" said Melan after seeing Arman in the house. Nobleglow was the name Aerora's mom called her after giving birth to her before she passed on.

"Brother, I saw him close to our farmland in a pool of his blood and I didn't want what happened to our dad to repeat itself that is why I decided to help him" replied Aerora with a pity face.

Melan was touched at what Aerora said and was short of words. Suddenly, they heard their loud coughs, it was Arman who was awake.

"Where am I," said Arman as he tries to sit up.

"Take it easy, You are safe, I rescued you from your pool of blood and treated your wounds" replied Aerora as she walks towards him.

After Aerora sat beside Arman on the reeds and rushes, Melan finally voiced out

"My sister saved you from where you passed out and it was like something was chasing you"

"What is your name and what exactly was chasing you?" said Melan

"I am Arman, I was about to be banished from this Kingdom because of a strange power I possess so I escaped from the King's guards, it was as I was running to find somewhere to hide I fell and passed out" replied Arman

After minutes of silence in the house, Malen immediately told his sister to come outside for a discussion.

"He said he escaped from the King's guards meaning he is a prisoner of the King, it is not safe to keep him here, the King will come looking for him," said Melan with a strong face

"He said he possesses a strange power, I think he is a magician like you and is sure it is because it cannot control his magic that's why the King asked for him to be banished" replied Aerora

"He doesn't look like a citizen of this Kingdom and he is not from Xotus kingdom also, hmmm in the history of Culum Kingdom no one has had magical powers or any sort of strange powers," said Melan

"I think he is God's sent, his physique tells that he is from Culum Kingdom and he has a strange power, I think that is a reason why we should keep him with us" replied Nobleglow

"Nobleglow am trusting you on this and this must be between the four walls of this house, you understand the situation of this town," said Melan

"Thanks, brother, am sure you won't regret this decision," said Aerora as she hugs her brother.

Aerora and Melan then went inside to discuss with Arman to know more about him and also tell him the situation of the town he finds himself in.

After a lengthy discussion between the three of them, it was time for them to get a good night's rest.

"I think it's time for you to rest, you will continue your recovery process tomorrow but you have to chew this herb before your rest," said Aerora pointing the herbs to Arman

"I and my sister will sleep over here, in order not to inconvenience you over there," said Melan

Immediately after Arman finished chewing the herbs he asked Aerora how long it will take before his wounds heal and she told him in two days.

After two days, Arman's wound had finally healed completely, he was eager to get to know the town where he found safety despite Aerora and Melan telling him about the insecurities in the town.

It was time for Aerora to go to her father's farmland and gather some herbs, as usual, she decided to allow Arman to follow her because he had wanted to stroll out and check out the town. They successfully got to the farmland and gathered enough herbs but on their way back home they were ambushed by six of the town's desperados.

"Hey young man, what do you have on you, You must be from a royal family, maybe of Culum Kingdom as you look, you left your people in suffering and came here for safety. Anyways, we have been keeping track of you since you arrived in this town" said the head of the desperados.

"He has nothing on him except the herbs we just gathered from our farmland" replied Aerora as she stands in between Arman and the head of the desperados.

"Ha ha ha ha ha, you weak being how dare you to block me, now get out of my sight," said the head of the desperados.

Aerora refused to leave the front of the head desperado despite his threat and he immediately gave her a dirty slap which caused her to fall to the ground. Arman immediately rushed to her on the ground to check if she was alright.

"Now give us all you have or we will kill both of you," said the head desperado as he pulls Arman up

His statement and what he had already done to Aerora made Arman very angry. Anytime Arman is angry his eyes totally turn blue and his hands also glow blue, his magical power had taken over him once again.

He then used his powers to knock out all the desperados except the head who was in shock after seeing Arman turning to something else. After Arman had successfully knocked out all the desperados, he used his powers to carry the head of the desperados up and throw towards a sharp stick, the stick penetrates through him and he died. While he was using his powers, he was bleeding from his nose.

"Arman, Calm down, what have you done" shouted Aerora

Immediately he heard the voice of Aerora, he came back to his senses.
