Charmaine's POV
Lily burst through the front door, her face scrunched up in pain. "Mom, I broke my leg in school!" she wailed, tears streaming down her face.
My heart sank at the sight of my distressed daughter. I rushed to her side, trying to assess the situation. "Oh, baby, I'm so sorry. What happened?" I asked, trying to keep my voice calm.
Lily sniffled, her eyes welling up with tears. "I was dancing in ballet class, and I fell. I tried to put some balm on it, but it hurts so much!" She let out a loud wail, and I felt my heart break for her.
Just then, the ballet teacher, Mrs. Jenkins, appeared at the door. "I'm so sorry, dear," she said, looking frazzled. "Lily was doing beautifully in class, and then she just fell. I've never seen her so upset."
