I stood in front of Lily's closet, scanning the rows of tutus and leotards. Today was the day of her ballet presentation, and I wanted to make sure she looked perfect. I pulled out a beautiful pink tutu and a matching leotard, and began to help Lily into them.
Lily looked up at me with excited eyes. "Mummy, I'm going to do great today!" she exclaimed.
I smiled and hugged her. "I know you will, sweetie. You've been practicing so hard." Yesterday night had been a long one, with Lily keeping me up late to practice her ballet moves. But it had been worth it - she had really improved, and I was so proud of her.
