I groggily opened my eyes, wincing in pain as the bright morning light pierced through my brain. My head was throbbing with a dull ache, a constant reminder of the stress and anxiety that had been building up inside me. I lay in bed for a moment, trying to muster up the energy to get out of bed and face the day ahead.
But the more I thought about it, the more I doubted whether I could actually make it to work today. Everything that had happened over the past few days was still weighing heavily on my mind - the pack politics, Lily's bullying, Luca's presence in our lives... it was all just too much to handle. I felt like I was drowning in a sea of drama and stress, and I desperately needed some space to clear my head and recharge.
