Marcus's POV
I stand in front of the mirror, gazing at my reflection with a sense of satisfaction. My eyes seem to gleam with triumph, and my smile is wide and self-assured. I knew my plan would work. I knew that with the right manipulation, Charmaine would come crawling back to me. And now, she's mine.
I think about Charmaine, about the way she smiled at me during our conversation earlier. She's trying to hide it, but I can see the resignation in her eyes. She knows she's trapped, and she's trying to make the best of it. But I'll make sure she's happy, or at least, happy enough. I'll give her everything she wants, everything she needs. And in return, she'll give me what I want: her loyalty, her obedience, and her love.
