Charmaine's POV
Marcus turns to me, his eyes shining with excitement. "Charmaine, I have to tell you, I'm beyond thrilled to become Lily's father," he says, his voice filled with emotion. "I care so deeply for that little girl, and I want to see her grow and excel in every way possible."
He pauses, his gaze searching mine. "But I need to know, will you accept me as her father?" he asks, his voice laced with vulnerability. "Will you let me be a part of her life, and yours?"
I feel a wave of nausea wash over me, but I force myself to nod. "Y-yes, Marcus," I stutter, trying to sound sincere. "I'd love to have you in our lives." Ugh, I can barely believe I'm saying this.
