Charmaine's POV
My paws pound the ground, my werewolf form propelling me forward with incredible speed. Excitement courses through my veins like liquid fire, urging me to move faster, to get to Luca's place sooner. I've never felt this alive, this free. The wind rushes past me, whipping my fur into a frenzy, but I don't care. I'm too busy savoring the thrill of the moment, the joy of being me.
I burst through the trees, Luca's cabin coming into view. I can see the warm glow of the lights inside, and my heart skips a beat. I'm almost there. I slow to a stop outside the door, my chest heaving with exertion. I take a deep breath, composing myself, and then I raise a paw and knock on the door.
