I walked through the front door of my house, feeling a sense of contentment wash over me. Today had been a great day, and I couldn't stop thinking about the time I spent with Lily. She was such a bright and energetic kid, and I had genuinely enjoyed her company. I found myself smiling as I thought about her infectious laughter and her boundless enthusiasm.
