When Inara dialed her wrist unit and laid out her intentions, Selene’s voice sounded pleasantly surprised over the speaker. She was immediately on board with her daughter's swift initiative.
“That is wonderful, honey,” Selene praised smoothly. “I will reach out to Orion myself to gather the administrative details, so don’t you worry about a thing on that end.”
“I also plan to stop by the area later to ask what their families need in terms of physical relief,” Inara added. “I’d like to organize care packages and have food and supplies delivered directly while the men are out of work.”
There was a sudden, distinct pause on the line before her mother spoke again, her voice dropping into a careful, measured tone.
“Be very careful with direct physical donations, Inara,” Selene warned gently
