They all settle into their beds, hoping to finally get some sleep while still in the Bermuda. For once they did, they slept until morning. They even checked the map to see if they were still in the Bermuda. Surprisingly, they were. They are all confused. “Why didn’t anything appear last night?” Mandy asks everybody.
“Somethings going on guys. Nothing came to kill us last night. Something always comes to kill us while we’re awake. Why didn’t anything come while we slept? Why did it stop? We’re obviously still in the Bermuda.” Mandy says. “Hey guys! Look!” Aki yells from the dock. “What is it?” Everybody asks. “I don’t know about you but there’s one ray of sunlight pointing down over there. Maybe we should go?” He asks. “I don’t know man. We could be risking everything.” Eric says. “Come on. Even the waves are calm as hell. Stop being a wussy.” Aki says.
“I forgot to mention the Gods. Our Gods, they communicate with my people. At least they did before the government invaded. We might have passed all of the tests and now they’re showing us a way down there.” Mandy suggests. “Yeah, I agree. Maybe. I’m not 100% sure.” Aki says awkwardly. “You really think this was all Gods? Not the government or anybody else? What if it is the government? We’re not sure what they are capable of.” Eric says.
“I mean maybe. I don’t know honestly. It’s all confusing. We have encountered animals that are supposed to be extinct. We almost died by them. Plus, sirens!! Those don’t even exist! They never did!” Aki yells. “Remember, only five percent of the ocean is discovered. We don’t know a lot about it. At all.” Leeroy says. “We should go to it.” Aki stands up and says loudly. “We survived everything else, we should survive this. Whatever it takes to save Mandy’s city.” He continues. “Fine. Whatever. We’ll go. Everybody just hold onto something! I’m making a sharp turn!” Eric yells.
They all grab some part of the boat tightly. Just in case something happens. They sail towards the light. Drifting closer until the light shines on the boat. The water starts to rumble and suddenly they see something come out of the water. Then the sky starts to talk. “You have to pass this last test in order to go to your city Mandy. The government created this last monster so be careful. It’s extremely dangerous. More dangerous than all of those other creatures you faced. But once you pass, the government will enclose the survivors in a bubble and take you to your city. Do not trust them. No matter what. Save your city!” The Gods yell. “We got this.” Mandy mumbles.
“Everybody! We need to put on our scuba gear! I have a feeling we’re about to go under!” Eric screams. They all run downstairs and throw on their scuba gear. Trying to put it all on as quickly as possible.
Suddenly, the boat starts to shake. The storage room starts to fill with water as they scurry to put the gear on. “We’re sinking!” Leeroy yells. “What kind of creature is this?!” He continues. Nobody knows. All they know is that it’s so strong, it’s dragging them under. As the water reaches the ceiling, they finally all put their gear on successfully and start to swim out of the room to take a look at the creature. They stay as close to the boat as possible. Going down with it. They look around but don’t see anything. Then finally they see something.
“Guys… is that what I… I think it is…” Mandy asks hesitantly through her walkie. “I… I think so Mandy. I don’t think we’re going to survive this one… it’s the damn Kraken.” Aki says disappointingly. “I’ve never seen a creature so big. It’s way too big and strong.” He continues. “Never say that Aki! What happened to the guy who went after what he wanted and what he believed in? To the guy that would sacrifice everything just to find out what happens in the Bermuda? To the guy who never gave up. No matter the challenge. I believe you’re still that guy. Don’t stop being him now. We need him.” Leeroy says then pulls him in for a hug.
“He is right! We can’t just assume we’re dead because it’s the Kraken! We faced a giant ass snake! A creature that’s like a crocodile shark mix! And a f*****g siren for crying out loud! We can survive this! We will survive this! Bring out your guns, your knives, ropes, anything that we have! Pull everything out that you can because this creature is going down just like the rest!” Eric screams.
Once he finishes talking, the Kraken finishes wrapping its tentacles around their boat and the creature crushes it effortlessly. Right in front of them. Everybody is holding on to each other for dear life. Clenching onto one another and their weapons because their lives depend on it. The Kraken grabs them with a tentacle and starts dragging them down along with it. The temperature starts to drop dramatically. They know they’re getting deep. Too deep. Soon they’ll be at the point where they will just freeze.
Aki pulls out his knife from his pocket and grabs on to a tentacle and starts to cut at it with a knife. Once Mandy sees what he is doing she does the same. Then Eric. And then Leeroy. One by one they start chopping until it let’s go of them. They all start to swim up. That’s when the face of the Kraken is revealed. It screeches out in pain and anger. Right in front of the crew. It’s face, right in front of them. They all start to panic. They don’t know what to do.
Then Leeroy makes the greatest sacrifice of all. Himself. He swims right in front of the Kraken’s face. Then stabs the creature in both eyes. Swims down and cuts its tongue in half and continues to swim down until he reaches its chest and then he takes his knife and shoves it deep down into the squids’ skin until he knows that it went through the creatures’ heart.
After the knife is in its heart, he turns the knife about five times. Then he turns around and notices that his friends are gone. They just disappeared. Then the Kraken grabs him with the last tentacle it had and throws him far away. He doesn’t know where his friends are now, but he knows that they’re far, extremely far. Everything’s dark and cold. He is terrified and by himself. All he can think about is “Swim up! Swim up!” So, he does. Or at least tries to. His body starts to go numb because of the freezing temperatures. His body became so numb, he can’t move anymore. He’s just floating, down in the deep dark sea. Not knowing where to go or what to do.
