Chapter Seven

1576 Words

Six years ago, School was the only place aside from the dance studio where I could be free from my mother for hours. I could be a person with other talents and dreams or imagine myself going off to college after a teacher had me convinced that I can do anything, but my mother didn’t care about my good school marks or that I am an A+ student. The high school hallways were buzzing with students like any other day and I get left by Joey when he spots his buddies and girlfriend waiting for him, but today things were a bit a different on my road to my locker. The boy’s baseball team was standing where you’ve always found them before class but usually, I get ignored by most of them—not today. His light blue eyes widened and his expression was absolutely hilarious when he figured out who I am.
