Chapter ThirteenAfter they dropped Monica off in her room, Cavus led the senator to the main hall. Paul dismissed his security personnel to get lunch at the restaurant and relax on the grounds. Agent Nah stayed with him, but at a respectful distance. Cavus wasn’t sure what to think of the man. Part of him wanted to like the older wolf. He had a grizzled complexion, a touch of gray hair, and steely blue eyes like his daughter. They were both Alphas, though, and that presented problems. He could smell Paul’s attraction to Monica, and worse, he could sense her reciprocation. He didn’t think for one minute she would ever cheat on him, but things were different for the wolves. Sometimes attraction was more than just a physical desire.
