Chapter 52: A Day of Reckoning The weight of the accusation hung heavy in the air. Lucas stood before the Dean, his heart pounding in his chest. The Dean, a stern-looking man with a reputation for being uncompromising, glared at him. "How could you? This brazen animal," he cursed loudly, his voice filled with disdain.
