Chapter 77: Basking in Glory
The team returned to school, basking in the glory of their victory. Lucas, still on cloud nine, was announced as the Man of the Match.
Coach Thompson approached Lucas, a broad smile on his face.
"Lucas, you're the star of the match! Your determination and skill won us this game," the coach who hardly complemented a person, praised him.
Lucas grinned, his heart swelling with pride.
The school's Dean beaming with pride, presented Lucas with a trophy.
"Lucas, your exceptional skills on the field have made our school proud. Congratulations!" He said. The whole school was thrilled at what they called last minute miracle performed by Lucas. He had also scored the two goals. This was the first time, Spring Well had defeated the great Oakland.
