Chapter 58: The Aftermath
Sofia's limp body lay on the stretcher, racing through the hospital corridors. The emergency team rushed alongside, their faces tense with urgency. Dr. Patel, a seasoned ER physician, led the charge. Her pulse rate had reduced. It seems they were losing her. Hurriedly, she was rushed to the theater.
"Cardiac arrest, possible overdose," the doctor yelled, as they burst into the theatre.
The medical team swiftly transferred Sofia to the hospital bed. Monitors beeped, and machines whirred to life.
"Let's get her on oxygen, immediately!" Dr. Patel ordered. A nurse attached the oxygen mask to Sofia's pale face. She had lost alot of blood already. Another medical professional began CPR, compressing Sofia's chest.
"Defibrillator, charge 200 joules!" Dr. Patel calle
