Over the next few weeks, a pattern seemed to form. Jennifer went on one or two dates a week but never found someone that she clicked with. Every morning and every evening she would text Coop. It started as one or two messages a day, but it had slowly increased to the point that they were having full conversations every day.

After a couple of weeks, she took Coop up on his offer and spoke to one of his former subs, a conversation that left her shaken. She steered the conversation away from Coop as a Dom, as that was not something that she wanted to think about. Instead, she took the time to learn about the Daddy Dom dynamic as well as how other subs came into the lifestyle. After that conversation she started to really spend some time thinking about who she was and what she wanted. The one thing that she determined was that she never wanted to give herself up again. With that in mind, she decided to take a step that scared her.

The next day she was driving to a specialty nursery a few hours away to pick up a couple of blue moon rose plants that she had ordered for Gary’s birthday. She knew that he had been in love with their rich blue and purple color for years, but given how expensive and uncommon they are, he had never found a local supplier, and he never trusted ordering plants online. Knowing that she would not be home to text Coop she decided to take the plunge and text him a message first thing. “Good morning. I just wanted to tell you that I will not be home much today. If you are comfortable, I will be driving most of the day so you can feel free to call me. My car has bluetooth. If not, just realize that I am not intentionally ignoring you, and I will reach out tomorrow. Have an amazing day.”

From that day on, there was not a day that the two did not talk. At first, it was short conversations in the evening but they soon grew to nightly rituals. About seven weeks after they had started speaking, Coop decided to change their dynamic one more time by inviting Jennifer to a munch in downtown Denver.

Jennifer had read a little about these events and was interested in attending one but was shocked that Coop was willing to fly across the country to be there to support her at her first event. Her initial reaction was to tell him that he did not have to do that, but the more she thought about it the more she liked the idea, even though she knew that it was only a convenient excuse to meet him in person for the first time.

When the day before the munch arrived, Jennifer was on pins and needles pacing the arrival area at the Denver International Airport. Coop was due to arrive at a touch after noon and Jennifer was there to pick him up, so they could have lunch before she dropped him at his hotel. Gary had volunteered to join her but for some reason it was important for her to be there alone.

The airport was bustling with travelers as Jennifer anxiously waited at the arrivals gate, her eyes scanning the crowd for any sign of Coop. As the minutes ticked by, Jennifer's heart raced with anticipation. Then, amidst the sea of faces, she spotted a tall man with sandy blonde hair and a friendly smile approaching the baggage claim area. It was Coop. Walking toward her with sure strides, he never once broke eye contact before sweeping her off her feet and into his arms, his carry-on abandoned on the ground next to him.

“Oh my God, Baby Girl, it is so good to see you.” The murmured words brought tears to her eyes. The feeling of being in his arms felt like home. She leaned into his embrace, unwilling to let go until the stream of passengers from behind them forced them to move to the side of the room. Neither wanting to break the spell, they moved silently before Coop once again moved forward.

This time he leaned in and claimed her lips in a kiss that was both sweet and arousing. By the time that they pulled away, both of them were trying to catch their breath, their foreheads together.

“Hello Coop.” Jennifer tried to catch her breath while she looked into her eyes. “That was not the greeting I was expecting.” She leaned forward, burying her face into his chest to hide her blush.

“I hope that I am not too forward, but the moment I saw you I just had to have you in my arms.” His soft words made her heart float and caused her to giggle lightly.

“Not at all, but let’s get to the car. I know you are only here for two days, is there anything that you would like to do while you are here?” As they walked Coop had wrapped his arm around Jennifer’s back, just keeping light contact. When she asked, Coop reached over and stopped her so that they could look at each other's eyes.

“To start, I would like to take as much of your time as you are willing to give me. I am excited to be escorting you to the munch tomorrow, but other than that I am perfectly happy just being with you, no matter what we are doing.” With his statement made, he lightly grabbed Jennifer’s hand, bringing it to his mouth for a quick kiss.

Together they walked to Jennifer's car, and she was determined to enjoy their time together. She had put in extra hours this week and cleared her schedule from this morning through the next night when he was set to fly back to Ohio. Mere moments after getting into the car her phone was ringing and out of habit she answered it on her bluetooth. “Hello”

“When does the stud arrive? You know that despite everything you have said, you are falling hard for him. I need you to promise me you will be careful, and I was thinking that the four of us should have dinner tonight so that you are not tempted to take him home and have him for dinner yourself.” The words came out in a rush and caused Jennifer to turn bright red looking over at Coop’s body, shaking with silent laughter. Before she could respond, he lost control and deep laughter filled the interior of the car as tears streamed down his face unchecked.

Just as he started to get control, he heard Gary mutter “s**t” quietly causing him to erupt with laughter once again. Gasping for air, Coop reached over and placed his hand on Jennifer's knee to calm her before speaking up.

“I will take the name stud as a compliment from you. Jennifer just picked me up but judging from the color of her face she is wished she hadn’t.” His words triggered another round of laughter from both men.

“Usual place, 7pm, bring Kirk.” Her words were curt as she disconnected the call, dying of embarrassment. “That is not what I was expecting to happen.” Looking over at his laughing frame she got a half smile before speaking again. “You know it was not that funny.” She tried to school her face into a serious and hurt expression but failed miserably as the giggles broke through.

His grin seemed to light up the car as he looked at her. “Yes, yes, it was.” Without even seeming to, he reached over and took her hand into his, lightly stroking her knuckle with his thumb as they drove. “So what is the plan?”

Jennifer was not sure why this question shocked her. Coop had always given her the impression of being comfortable and confident in who he was, but for some reason she expected him to try to take the lead. Inside she smiled as she remembered that the more they had spoken the more she had seen the truth in what he had told her about b**m, she was the one in power. This thought caused her to make a spontaneous decision that she hoped she would not regret.

“The plan was to go to lunch before I took you to your hotel.” He grinned, squeezing her hand lightly.

“Baby girl, that's just perfect for me.”

Taking a deep breath again, she spoke. “Or we can go to lunch, then we can head home to my place. I am not inviting you to share my room, but if you don’t staying with me, I thought we could spend a bit more time together.” Her words came out in a rush.

Coop turned his head to look her in the eyes, clearly assessing if she was serious about the offer before he spoke. “There is nothing in this world that would make me happier than to spend every possible second with you. In fact, can we get lunch to go, so we can just relax together without the awkwardness that comes with the public?”

With a small smile Jennifer nodded and turned her attention back to the road.
