Fates plan

Chapter 2

Nari's dad was told by friends to avoid the roads there because they tend to be extremely congested with traffic but he still went ahead and decided to drive down, dispite him being exhausted from his previous shift.

During the drive the family were in high spirits and enjoying each others company by play games and singing along to songs on the radio until both Nari and her mother grew tired and fell asleep leaving her dad who was exhausted, to continue driving and keep telling himself that he'll rest once he gets to the villa they rented for the holiday, but unfortunately he fell asleep behind the wheel which led to them ending in a horrible her on collision with small truck.

The crash was horrible and emergency personnel got Nari and her parents out as quickly as they could and rushed them to the nearest hospital, where both of them were rushed into emergency surgery while Nari who only had a broken arm and few minor cuts and bruises was taken care of by the nursing staff in the emergency room.

Meanwhile, Nari's paternal grandparents rushed to the hospital to see them, while her maternal grandparents were filled in about the accident via telephone and were trying to get a flight out to Italy.

Nari's parents got out of surgery and were taken to the ICU while a doctor came and explained to them that Nari's father suffered serious internal injuries which they tried to repair but he had lost alot of blood and had coded twice on the operating table while her mother had a cesarean section to deliver her baby brother as a means to safe his life, he then also informed then that she also suffered a serious head injury and they are not sure if she will wake up and if she does what her neurological state will be.

Hearing those words from the doctor caused her paternal grandmother to break down in tears, while her paternal grandfather could only stand there and comfort her.

After a long cry, Nari's grandparents finally asked if they could see the baby and the Dr asked one of the nurses to escort them to the neonatal intensive care unit, where upon arrival the were shown the tiny baby boy through a glass while the doctor worked on him and settled him into his incubator, making them both tear up again but then remembered that they had to be strong and need to go see Nari.

They then asked the nurse if she could take them to see Nari and she politely agreed and told them that Nari just got transferred to the pediatric unit, and she then quickly escorted them to the unit, where they find a nurse sitting beside Nari's bedside.

They quietly enter the room and greet the nurse politely and proceed to introduce themselves to her and with a smile she introduce herself in return, then tells them, "she was a bit upset and crying so the doctor gave her something to calm down and fall asleep".

The nurse quickly got up and allowed Nari's grandparents to sit down. Once seated Nari's grandmother takes hold of her hand and kisses it, then mumbles, "we're going to keep praying for your mommy, daddy and now little brother to get better, so they can come back home to you".
