Courtney's pov; "HE DID WHAT?" Ellie yelled at me. "This doesn't make any sense. He was nice to you, then he was mean to you. Oh god. He has no logic. My brain hurts." Ellie said causing me to laugh. "Butttt guess what the good news is?" I grinned at her. "OOH OOH OHH TELL ME TELL ME TELL ME!" Ellie jumped up and down excitedly. "Shawn asked me out on a date!" I beamed. "Shawn the hottie in your English class?!" She shouted. "Yep!" I grinned. "Ooh get in there." She nudged and winked at me. "Oh shut up." I laughed. ******************* It was the night of my date with Shawn. School dragged on today, probably because I was so excited about the date. Ellie helped me pick a outfit yesterday. She picked a pair of skinny jeans, and a flowy white blouse. I curled my hair, and put a small amount of makeup. I put my black pumps on, grabbed my leather jacket and my purse, and made my way downstairs. "Mum I'm going now!" I yelled so she could hear me. She came rushing out to me. I told her about my date with Shawn yesterday because I was so excited about it. "Oh my gosh, you look lovely!" My mum beamed at me. "Thanks mum. I'll be back before 11." I said and gave her a kiss on the cheek. I walked out and saw Shawns car waiting. I picked my car up earlier on, but Shawn insisted on driving me to our date. My new car was a ford fiesta. It wouldn't have been my first choice of car, but it was affordable, and it will do for the time being. I walked over to Shawn's car and got in. "You look beautiful as always." Shawn beamed at me, and kissed me on the cheek. "Thankyou. You don't look too shabby yourself." I giggled. "Well thanks." He laughed. "So where are we going?" I asked eager to know. "It's a surprise." He smirked at me. ********************* We arrived at a beautiful restaurant. I went to open the car door, when I heard Shawn speak. "Wait there a sec." He smiled, then walked over to my side and opened the door for me. "Thank you." I giggled. We walked into a gorgeous looking restaurant. I followed Shawn all the way to the front desk. "Reservations for 2." Shawn said to the rather pretty looking lady. "Under what name?" She asked. "Mendes." Shawn replied. "Right this way." She smiled and we followed her. We sat down and waited for a waitress to come and take our orders. "You could have told me to dress a bit more... dressier." I said to Shawn, feeling a bit self conscious that we were in a beautiful restaurant and I was in casual clothes. "You look beautiful Courtney." Shawn said to me, causing me to blush. Just then the waiter came over. He was rather good looking actually. "Can I take your order?" He smiled. His smile was quite lovely. "Can I have the salmon please." Shawn asked politely. "Of course sir. And for the lady?" He looked at me. "Um I'll have the steak please." I asked sweetly. "Okay. Would you like champagne?" He asked politely. "Yes please." Shawn replied. "Coming right up." The waiter said, then walked off. "This is really beautiful Shawn." I smiled at him. "Not as beautiful as you." He replied, and I blushed yet again. Ellie's pov; I stood outside his house debating whether or not to go in. I didn't want to mess Courtney and Shawn's relationship up, but I just wanted to know why Dylan cared about her so much. It wasn't normal for Dylan O Brien to care about a girl. I walked up to his house and knocked on the front door. No answer. I know he's in there because he never does anything with his life. I knocked repeatedly until he decided to open the door. "Jesus Christ what the fu- Ellie." He frowned. "What do you want little red?" He said to me. I hated it when he called me that. I pushed past him and walked into his house. "Oh yes, please do come in(!)" Dylan said sarcastically. "Why are you in my house?" He asked me. "Nice to see you too." I scoffed. "I just wanted to ask you a few questions." "What are you, an inspector?" He said. "Just shut the f**k up and answer them." I sassed him "Why do you care so much about Courtney?" I watched his reaction as he turned around and fully focused on me. "What do you mean?" He said, and I rolled my eyes. "Don't act dumb with me punk." I said and he laughed. "Did you just call me punk?" He said bursting into hysterics. If this was a different matter I probably would have laughed, but since I was being deadly serious, I pushed him up against the wall, twisted his arms behind his back and held them there. I used to do karate, so I was pretty strong. "Woah calm yourself little red. You could at least buy me a drink first." He smirked at me, so I kneed him in the balls. "OW!" He yelped in pain and grabbed hold of his man parts. "What the f**k was that for?!" He shouted at me. "Are you going to answer my questions properly?" I smiled at him sweetly. "f**k, yes! I don't want that to happen again! Jesus, you're quite scary actually!" He said, and I smirked. "Thank you. Right where were we? Ah yes. Why do you care so much about Courtney?" I asked him for like the billionth time. "She's different." He simply replied. "Care to elaborate?" I smiled sweetly. "She's not like the other girls. She does her work, focuses on her grades, and she doesn't throw herself at me." He said. "Plus she's absolutely gorgeous." He added. "I think you mean, she's perfect in every way." I corrected him and he smiled. "Yes. Yes i do mean that." He admitted. "So why the f**k did you f**k it all up earlier? She told me you were pissy with her for no reason, then you flipped s**t, broke s**t, and punched your best mate?" I asked him, needing to know the answer. "I don't know why I would tell you of all people." He said to me. "Look Dylan, I'm not gonna lie to you, I don't really care that much about you." I admitted. "Oh thanks Fuller!" He scoffed. "Let me finish dickhead." I growled at him. "I don't really care that much about you, but a little part of me cares for you because Courtney cares for you. I see the way you two click. She told me you two kissed, and you should have seen her little face light up when she was talking about you. I mean, I don't really want her to have a crush on you, because you're a total t**t, but she's my best mate, and I stand by whatever choice she makes. I've only known her a few weeks, and she's been there for me more than anyone ever has. She understands me, and I'm so glad I met her, because I was going to go insane if I didn't meet anyone with logic soon enough." I said, meaning every word. He stared at me for a few seconds before talking. "You really care about her don't you?" He whispered, loud enough for me to hear. "Yes. I care about her like she's my own sister." I admitt. "Which is why I'm asking you these questions because I don't want to see her hurt." "Did her face really light up when she was talking about the kiss?" He mumbled. "Yes it really did. So are you going to tell me what happened?" I asked him once again. "Fine. I'll tell you. But this doesn't change anything. I still hate you." He smirked. "That's fine by me." I smirked back. "The day after I dropped Courtney home, I noticed she left her bracelet at mine. I could have just given it to her at school the next day, but I kind of wanted to see her again, so I drove to her house to drop it off." He stopped talking because he must have seen my face. I was trying my hardest not to piss myself, but it failed. "YOU DROVE TO HER HOUSE TO DROP OFF A BRACELET?!" I screamed and started to cry with laughter. I stopped to see him glaring at me. "Are you going to let me finish, or are you just going to continue taking the piss out of me?" He looked mad. "Sorry." I wiped my eyes. "Carry on." I smirked. "As I was saying, I drove to her house to drop her bracelet, and I saw her and Shawn. They were hugging, and he was making her laugh, and I just thought to myself that he's better for her. He can give her what she needs, whereas I'll just f**k it up. So I decided to make her hate me, so I wouldn't have to spend anymore time with her, so my feelings for her wouldn't grow." "That's the dumbest idea I've ever heard." I interrupted him. "For f***s sake Ellie, I swear to god if you interrupt me one more time, I'm gonna pick you up, and throw your short ass out of my house." He looked deadly serious, and I shut my mouth. "Thank you. So earlier she was listening to a song I wrote at lunch, but I didn't know she was there. She walked in clapping, and I was embarrassed because the song I wrote was about her. She started asking me a bunch of questions, and I flipped out on her. She didn't deserve it. But she surprised me by standing up for herself, and shouting back at me. The last thing she said to me was 'f**k you.'" He finally finished his story. "She told you to f**k off? Oh my god she's learning off me. They grow up so fast." I said, and pretended to wipe a tear from my eye. "Anyways, that's so dumb. It's obvious your feelings for her growing, and her feelings for you are growing as well. You need to get her before it's too late." I told him. "What do you mean, too late?" He raised an eyebrow at me. "She's on a date with Shawn right now, and Shawn seems nice, and he's super cute, but for some reason I ship Colan more than I ship Cawn." I told him and he looked at me as if I had just given birth to a walrus. "Colan? Cawn? What the f**k is that?" He asked me. "Your ship names." I simply replied. "Oh god. I don't even wanna know what goes on in that mind of yours." He said. "Anyways, you should talk to her tommorow at school, because otherwise she will most likely get with Shawn." I told him truthfully. "Okay. Now it's my turn to ask you a question." He turned and said to me. "Ask away." I smirked at him. "Why are you trying to help me?" He stared at me, his brown eyes boring into my blue ones. "I'm not doing it for you, I'm doing it for my best mate." I simply said. "Good because I don't want you to do anything for me." He stuck his tongue out at me. "Well I don't want you to do anything for me either." I replied, sticking my tongue out as well. "Whatevs." He smirked. "Now piss off out my house Fuller." "Wait one sec." I said and made my way to his fridge. I rummaged through it, till I found a cold slice of pizza. "How long has this been in here?" I asked him. "Um since yesterday? Can you like get out of my fridge?" He asked me and I smirked. I took the pizza and made my way to the front door. "Bye dickhead." I said and walked out. "See ya little red." I heard him call, and I could just tell he was smirking. Courtney's pov; "Thank you for a lovely night Shawn." I thanked him as he dropped me off at my house. "No, thank you for a lovely night beautiful." He said, and he leant in to kiss me. His lips tasted different to Dylan's. They were more rough. He wasn't a terrible kisser, I just preferred kissing Dylan. No. I need to stop thinking about that d**k. I pulled out of the kiss, and smiled. "Well id best be going now. I'm so glad we got to know each other a bit more." I beamed at him. "Same here beautiful. I'm glad you had a nice time. See you tommorow." He said, and turned to walk back to his car. When I got in I looked at the time and it was exactly 11pm. Mum and Zoe would be in bed. I creeped up the stairs, trying not to wake anyone up, and went to my room. I got changed into my pyjamas, and climbed into bed, when my phone vibrated. From: Ellie<3; Need to tell you something important so I'll be at yours earlier tommorow! Love you hoe<3 She wanted to tell me something important? I wonder what that could be? To: Ellie<3; Okay my love. Love you too whore<3 I locked my phone, put it on my bed side table, and fell straight asleep.
