Fred was leaving for the office one morning when he came across Rose's mother, Leila, sitting at the table, clearly upset over something.
"Hey, Leila," he started, going to talk to her. "Is everything okay? You are up early."
"Yes, of course," she replied with uneasiness. "I was just waiting for the driver to bring the car around. We are going to Hetron."
"Hetron?" He asked. "Is that the fraud company?"
"That is the one. But nothing to worry about. Charlie is handling it. We will get our money back in no time."
It did not seem like everything was okay from her tone. If she had not got her money back, it meant others had not either and that Charlie had failed to do so, despite boasting otherwise. It had been a long time since he had seen her protesting outside the office. H
