I watched as Celeste looked at me in open curiosity. I needed to talk to her, but I knew that with everything that had been happening lately, the odds of her trusting me were slim. I had abandoned her as a baby, and she had still given me a chance, be it reluctantly. Lately, every day I had found myself thinking about, how she had told me she would give me that one chance, when we spoke on Christmas day. And I had blown it! I had blown it so badly!
The more I thought about everything, the more I could see it through her eyes. She had given me a chance despite my abandonment of her and her mother, and I had repaid her by abandoning her again and again. Every time Lilly had caused problems, picked fights and been a major pain in the a*s, in Celeste's eyes, I had chosen Lilly's side
