Later during the morning we made our way downstairs to the kitchen, both of us mindful of not drawing any attention to ourselves and our newly changed dynamic. When we walked into the kitchen, we saw Josh standing at the stove cooking breakfast, and Billy was seated at the dining table drinking a cup of coffee.
When we entered the kitchen I saw Billy look over at us, and I could tell the wheels in his head were turning. Was he thinking I had lied to him last night? I hope not! Because last night when we had had our discussion, nothing had been going on between me and Jamie.
I took a seat at the dining table across from Billy, while Jamie went to make himself a cup of coffee. As I sat down, Billy looked over at me and smiled.
