We were making our way to the hospital, and the paramedic who was in the back of the ambulance with us, was doing everything he could to keep Celeste alive. I had watched as he had applied additional gauze to her wound, in an attempt to try to stop her losing more blood. She had already lost a lot of blood.
When the paramedics had been treating Celeste back at the house, they had hooked her up to an IV line, putting the IV cannula in the back of he right hand. Now as I watched, the paramedic who was treating her, began to set up another cannula, inserting it into the vein in the back of her left hand. I continued watching as he attached a bag of Hartmann's solution to the cannula.
