We made our way into the lounge room, where everyone was already sitting down talking among themselves. It was obvious they had been waiting for me to come back downstairs with Celeste for the debriefing. The television was turned on and muted. The news channel was on so that we could see when the burning house was noticed. I wasn't expecting any issues regarding the house. We had dealt with issues like that so many times before. The odds of us being found out by authorities were extremely low.
The moment we walked in to the lounge room, I got Celeste to take a seat on the lounge, and I sat down beside her. Taking her hand in mine once more, I said, "Walk us through what happened."
