Angela’s P.O.V I didn’t take any chances, once I got to the woods. I evaded the side of the forest that had gotten caught in the fire. Just in case there were still a few people there. I ran straight down to the river, to see if the scent on my abandoned trail was still potent enough for me to catch and follow. I didn’t think it possible, with the amount of time that had passed. But to my pleasant surprise, I found it! I quietly stalked it. And unlike the last time, it didn’t seem to be stringing me along this time around. In fact; with more steps I took, it grew even more present and potent ahead. Almost as if whoever carried it ahead was somewhere up the path, awaiting me. It wasn’t long before I saw large rocks, just a stone throw away from the barely there pathway.
