“What’s got you so excited?” I couldn’t help but ask Brooke at lunch, after noticing his bouncing on walls mood.
Even though I knew that the answer was probably something that would break my heart even further.
“The pieces of the puzzle finally fit together,” he grinned, earning an eye roll from Jesse- who appeared to already be in the know about what exactly was happening.
“I tracked down the girl,” he informed.
“And the information about her being in a relationship with the lycan, kind of fell onto my lap. Anyway, long story short, that relationship is over now. It was doomed from the beginning anyway. So yeah, I killed two birds with one stone. And that’s got me feeling pretty good.”
